Best location for an excellent wine region. Exceptional wines and cellar door experience everywhere- Yarra Yerring, Oakridge, Yarra Station, Soumah for lunch). Main street, just one block, with excellent restaurants (Mexican is great) and bars including 4 Pillars - book Fri or Sat 6pm happy hour. Even Aldi for supplies. It was the best place to stay for a great wine region and we've been to a few. Don't base yourself anywhere else for Yarra Valley.

Great little village with fantastic hiking/walking tracks, natural attractions, short distance to many other amazing towns and experiences, still clos enough to Melbourne to not be a trek!

One of the larger townships in the Yarra Valley.
One of the larger townships in the Yarra Valley. A great spot to base your travels from - so quick and close to places like Warburton and Yarra Glen. Some of the tourist information specific to Healesville are a bit outdated (like viewing points that are now overgrown with trees so now there's no view to be had), so just check things before you head out to them.
The Thai resataurant in Healesville was lovely and great value for money. We can also highly recommend the Dark Horse Cafe just out of Yarra Glen - lovely warm hospitality to be had there with very filling and delicious food.

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay! We had such a good time and the cafes and shops were all very friendly. The food was fantastic with so many options. Lots to do around Healesville itself. Highly recommend Marooondah Reservoir for a picnic, walk and explore.

Excellent position close to shops , cafes etc. a cosie cottage that fitted 8 adults. It wasn’t a spacious place but was well equipped with everything you might need for a short stay. The only thing we couldn’t find was a chopping board .

We wanted to explore the Yarra Valley and sample some local wine and food, so that is what we did. We thoroughly enjoyed the friendly local welcome, and all the independent shops, wineries and cafes. I would recommend 2N3D to fully engage. If you are flying as we were early Sunday morning, it's around 1hr 10m to Tullamarine, so within easy striking distance by car. In sum - it's a small compact village, great little cinema, interesting art galleries, a wealth of fab local wine and food, and a wildlife sanctuary as well.
It was clean and seemed like it was well taken care of. Beds were comfortable. Place was spacious. It has everything you need, there were even brochures of restaurants and places you can go to. Location was good. Ambiance of the cottage was really homey and relaxing. Most of all, Ralph (I think he is the owner) was really accommodating and nice. He even offered a free upgrade. Will definitely stay at this place again if we were to come back to Healesville.
Sunset Cottage has all the provisions for a comfortable and homely stay. The cottage itself is beautifully designed, with eclectic furnishings and a rustic architectural interior. The pictures don’t do it justice! It’s surprisingly warm and cosy – making it the perfect place for weekend getaway. The hosts really go the extra mile to ensure you’re looked after – with the incision of a breakfast hamper and chocolates on the bedside tables.
Location is fantastic. A central location in Healesville, which is a central location for all the Yarra Valley has to offer.
The venue itself has lovely finishes and is a perfect location for a holiday spent elsewhere but with a nice place to come home to.
Road noise was non-existent, and the rear seating area is a perfect spot for a drink at the end of the day.
Will definitely use this location again.
Great location, is very clean and very comfortable. The house is beautiful, and we really enjoyed our stay. It is also very family-friendly, Caroline and Anthony provided us with a port-a-cot which was very handy. The house is also very closely located to Healesville town centre. We stayed 3 nights for a wedding in Dixon Creek, and it was a great location.
Magnolia House was a perfect place to stay in Healsville, close to town... easy walk to restaurants, supermarket.... cozy ,comfortable, clean, safe ,everything you needed was there...can't think of anything you would need that wasn't available... owners only a tex message away, so friendly and helpful ... would and will recommend to friends & family
Location is fantastic to the majority of shops and facilities. Short walking distance to Four Pillars Gin (best to book ahead) and the Healesville Hotel. Facilities were exceptional. There was a slight issue with car park remote but this was explained to us in advance of our stay. Great facility for 2 couples or a small family.
Beautiful property, very clean, amazing baths and showers. The location is perfect if you’re wanting to explore the the region and especially if you want to be able to walk around Healesville.
Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friend and family.
The house was lovely and clean. It was a lovely touch having a bottle of wine to welcome us. It is a well thought out kitchen, family room and dining area. The master and second bedrooms have extremely comfortable beds. The area at hillcrest is peaceful.
Excellent hosts greeted us at the front office. They were knowledgeable of the area and provided us with information and necessary maps. The room was the perfect size for just an overnighter with my family and the bathroom was spick and span!!!
Such a cute property and the Garden Apartment was decorated beautifully. The fresh bread and orange juice was a nice treat our first morning as well. The property is in a great location, in walking distance to the main Street in Healesville.
A pleasant two night stay in Cedar Cottage. Away from the ‘lights’ of Healesville!! Couple of pleasant walks from the property. A delicious meal in the restaurant, but only open Friday and Saturday evenings.
Stayed in the family belle tent. It was cozy, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and makes an interesting change from more run of the mill accommodation. Reception made our late check in seamless.
We appreciated the immaculate presentation of Fermoy Cottage. Beds were very comfy and the wine and chocolates a thoughtful touch. It was perfect for our two night stay in Healesville.
cute little caravan park, close to town and cafes.
Owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
perfect little cabin for the warmer or cooler months.
Located so close to Healesville Main Street!
Beautiful, cosy apartment with all the amenities you would need.
Fantastic weekend getaway for small family.
Everything. Luxury bathrooms and bedrooms. Lovely, well-supplied kitchen and delightful porch to lounge on in the sunshine. Great parking in the driveway.
