They were lovely to us. We were asked what we would like for breakfast and were given a freshly cooked breakfast. Very friendly owner who was happy to help in any way. Very clean, comfortable, balcony off our room overlooking the beautiful views of the coastline. Would have liked to stay longer if our schedule allowed it.

Great for bird lovers with a great mix of places.
Great for bird lovers with a great mix of places. The Waikanae Estuary was beautiful and we watched a lot of sea birds. Nga Manu Nature Reserve was awesome with a friendly Tui and Kaka landing on us, great for kids. We didn't go but there's also Kapiti Island Tours, a must do when we go back. There's also a great walk, mostly up hill and back down at Barry Hadfield Nikau Reserve. When you get to the top you have amazing views of the coastline and Kapiti Island. It's also full of native Nikau's making you feel like you've walked into a different world, it takes about half an hour up and 20 minutes down.

We were there to participate in a sports tournament and the sport's (petanque) faciities were excellent. That apart there is a huge variety of restaurants and fast food places available, great shopping and supermarket facilities and many beaches within easy travelling time. Highly recommended.

This time of year isn’t the best for beach holiday but did like the beach. Haven’t been there for a few years but doesn’t seemed to have progressed as far as shops go. Good choice of restaurants at beach.

Visited Paraparaumu specifically to visit Kapiti Island for the day - which was exceptional - fantastic trip and a must do for everyone. Should have made our stay in Paraparaumu a little longer as the beach, foreshore area and facilities were all excellent and we could have explored a little more.
This motel is long established in Paraparaumu and as such in the outside looks somewhat dated - however the owners are progressively updating the rooms to a 2021 standard and they’ve done really well. Our room had a comfy bed, large tv which is what we’re all used to now, modern bathroom and kitchen cabinetry with neutral colour palate for walls and carpet. A good modern standard motel room with all that is needed, we’ll certainly be back when we next have to book a motel stay on the coast. Thanks for the stay.
I booked this property for my elderly parents who had a medical appointment in Paraparaumu. They were so happy with the accomodation and said it was so much nicer than staying in a motel. In particular they: Loved the friendliness of the hosts. Easy to connect with via phone. Everything about the cottage was beautifully presented and comfortable. Enjoyed watching the tuis feed. Appreciated the extra time the hosts allowed them due to not having people before or after them - it was a mid-week stay.
The studio (located downstairs below the main house) was very clean, comfortable and had everything you would need for a long term stay. About 10 minutes walk from the beach. Five stars for the tea bags and milk, morning cuppa was yum...better than i have at home! Very nice "home" feel but hotel quality amenities. Access to a swimming pool on the property right in front of the studio was a bonus although we didn't use it. The bed was so comfortable, no roll-together!
Incredibly comfortable and gorgeous stay with Jira. The breakfast is the best I've ever had in a hotel/bnb situation. The bed is extremely comfortable, everything was very clean, quite quiet and it's difficult to beat the view, especially at sunset or sunrise. The place is beautifully decorated and I will recommend this place to friends visiting. Jira is also a very fun host with great stories and cares very much about the integrity of the guest's stay.
This place really just exceeded my expectation coming from a crappy motel that I stayed in the previous night. Very cute but comfortable and I enjoyed staying here. It's got a lot of complimentary stuff like food and snacks. I loved that it's got Netflix and other streaming apps. I found myself pampering myself because the beddings and the bathroom were fantastic. I'd book this place again!
Caryn was AMAZING she is so warm and welcoming. I basically had the place to myself. everything was catered for Breakfast was any and everything, there were eggs , cereals juices, just an incredible set up she has, felt so at home. HIGHLY recommend if you are staying in Paraparaumu. Location is 2 minutes from beach and shops so good.
thank you Caryn
This accommodation was exactly what we needed in a relaxing night away. It felt rural but was only a few mins from Paraparaumu. Shona and Tony were great hosts and accommodated us at the last minute. We felt very cared for. Would highly recommend and are keen to go back.
The Location was perfect for us - near beach for walking/running/enjoying the beautiful Paraparaumu beach environment plus all the action of boats launching & coming back in. Great for our cycle trips while staying. Loved easy walk to beach shops & cafes.
We would love to stay here again - the location was excellent, right across from the beach and only a 5 minute walk to markets/cafes/shops. The accommodation itself was modern and cosy, and contained personal touches that made our stay very comfortable.
Spectacular location, high above Paraparaumu looking across to Kapiti Island. Friendly welcome and helpful with advice about places to dine and little things we needed. Modern house with all conveniences.
Cozy Stand-alone studio was quiet, comfy, and close to the beach, shops, cafes, and eateries. Great location for a quiet weekend get-away! We enjoyed our time there!
