The host is incredable person. Super friendly and cheerful. He told us many interesting things about local flora and fauna. The room was super comfy and breakfast delicious.
In the morning we tried to milk cows at the neighbor farm and then climbed on Tokatoka mountain with incredable view.
Good central location. We explored the Wetland and used it as home base to explore Pouto Beach and the Beaches along the west coast beyond Dargaville, including the Pouto Lighthouse, Glinks Gully and Baylys Beach. There might be places closer to the west coast, but we booked spontaneously and Paparoa is only a short 45min drive away from Dargaville. The Kauri Museum is just around the corner, too.
