We got a text in advance asking us what we would like for breakfast, and a very good selection was provided. The location turned out to be really good (not knowing the area) as it was very handy to a cafe, a grocery store and several restaurants, as wll as being just a block from the beach.

Very clean motel. Shops right next door, beach access across the road. Bummer weather was wet to try the pool, playground & activities room. Would definitely recommend. I know its only small but my fav was the table it had like a foot massager at the bottom 😅great after a long day shopping, the shower pressure was amazing. Staff was very welcoming. Me & my children hope to stay there again in the summer season.

Loved everything about Tuscan, Carol and Mace r the best hosts ever, the place was so warm, there was a swimming pool and the facilities r just excellent.
The breakfast too was amazing and was always timely . I will go back there.

Papamoa is probably best known for its white sand beach, which stretches for several kilometres. It is very accessible, as there are walkways between houses at frequent intervals allowing pedestrian acces from the two streets running parallel to the beach. Papamoa has a modern mall and several shopping centres, offering a variety of dining experiences and convenience foods. A highway system allows access to Mt Maunganui and Tauranga, about a half hour's drive away. The only downside for me is the traffic navigation - the highway system is very busy and clogs up quickly during peak traffic times, and some of the surrounding roads have some pretty unfriendly roundabouts with speed humps and traffic lights added, sensory overload for a driver unfamiliar with the area.JonesNew Zealand - 10Scored 10

Papamoa is a very laid back and peaceful place to visit. Everything you need is right on the doorstep and really great to visit a beach that isn't crowded. Papamoa is ideally situated close to Mt Maunganui yet far away enough to retain a sense of peace. It's also within an hour's drive of beautiful Ohope Beach &, to the north, Waihi Beach, both of which are well worth visiting (especially Ohope Beach & Whaktane).

You are very close to the beach and can walk to it. The host was lovely, and even though you enter through the main house’s front door, you have your own private space above and don’t feel you’re imposing. Would recommend to anyone looking for good value for money accommodation in Papamoa. Across the road from the beach too.
