As usual, great place for a stopover.
As usual, great place for a stopover. Nice room, lovely view on the river, stars reflecting on the river. Great breakfast, check-in and check-out super smooth, free parking right in front of the door. Love this place!

We stopped here on the way back to the U.K.
We stopped here on the way back to the U.K. We just stayed overnight but we weren’t impressed with the area. It’s a bit run down. After a walk out in the morning to see the town we decided to abandon and move on to Metz which is very much nicer. I wouldn’t go back there.

The small town is very cute to walk through and it's beautifully situated next to the Moezel river. There are good restaurants (book in advance!) and beautiful historic buildings to visit, if you're able to look past some poorly maintained streets and houses.

The garden had paired US and French flags as decorations Délphine, the manager arranged a safe car and driver to take us to the St. Mihel US military cemetery and the town where a relative was wounded in WW I. Délphine also sourced particularly fluffy pillows we requested. The hotel is very bicycle friendly.
