The reception of Christiano was perfect, he was very attentive to us and was very attentive to our desires while being discreet. Its carbonara pasta is a delight! The pool is very beautiful, very clean and the garden very pleasant. It is a relaxing setting that we enjoyed before going to visit Lecce which is less than 20 minutes by car. There are also many beautiful beaches around.

However, it is very remote and there is nothing nearby if you want to eat or visit a supermarket, and they don’t offer any food or drinks at the hotel except for breakfast and lunch. Also, there is only a tiny minibar at the room, so not much storage space if you want to keep some food at the room.

Sternatia has a decent supermarket and cafes. It's only a short train journey to Lecce but I recommend Galatina: less tourists, wonderful old town and 650 year old frescos in the Basilica of St Catherine. A very old little building in the old part of town with plenty of character, from the room to the common terrace. Incredible experience. Host was very friendly and Sternatia is the most charming little village with a laid back atmosphere.
