It’s been one of the best places to break away since my grandparents went on holidays. Hartenbos has kept up with the times and can proudly boast with its holiday atmosphere. If you havent been, make sure to go as soon as you are able.

Ons het nog nooit voorheen by Hartenbos gebly nie. My eerste ondervinding was regtig aangenaam. Die Solder se slaapgerief en badkamer is luuks. Dis so gerieflik met die winkels in die oord as jy jou eie kos wil maak. Die restaurante gee egter geleentheid vir lekker uiteet saam met jou gesin. As jy iets by die huis vergeet het, kan jy dit maklik gaan koop sommer in die oord. Dis 'n heerlike vakansie ondervinding! Die see is naby as jy in die branders wil baljaar en die swembad en waterslides toeganklik vir almal. Ek sal graag weer soontoe gaan.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Hartenbos. We stayed in a delightful house called Kango 10 (Google for more info), 300 m from the beach and Hartenbos beachfront shopping centre . We found the beaches to be clean and safe and the people super friendly. Staying in/near the ATKV resort, one felt safe enough to walk around all times of the day or evening and convenient to be so close to the Seafront Shopping Centre where one can enjoy the facilities and lovely restaurants. I loved everything... friendly environment... my daughter enjoyed the warm bath and the hours are great... i love the markets they have and the vibe it had on Saturday... the fact that everything is so close is a bonus... restaurants, pnp , clicks and lil boutiques for your swimwear

Loved the lodge, lots to do if you enjoy the outdoors. We hiked (there are short and long options, so no problem for kids). The lodge offers lovely home cooked food, a bit pricey to eat the 3 course dinner every night for the average South African family , but the self catering facilities are great so it wasn't a problem. The quad biking game drive was a highlight. Bicycles also a bonus. Very quick to get to Mossel Bay for a beach day / day trip or if you need to get to the shops.Sandy loves to travelSouth Africa

Shopping amenities and restaurants close to bungalow a big plus. Been next to the sea allowed for plenty of nice strolls throughout the day - we especially enjoyed the sunrise and sunset walks. We could cast our fishing lines in the lagoon and sea, and of course had a swim as often as we like. We always enjoy the ATKV Hartenbos resort and cannot wait to return.
