Quaint little town.
Quaint little town. Where we stayed in the town everything was at our finger tips, ie. easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, takeaways, parks, easy access to the expressway north & south etc. We will come back to Cambridge.

Cambridge is lovely quaint town that has a relaxed "Old English" charm [yes it also has it's own "Queen Street"] that embraces visitors wishing to explore and experience new adventures [especially cycling related - eg river trails, cycling races/tours/champs and the Avantidrome for track cyclists] whilst enjoying a variety of local cafes, eateries, bars and restaurants etc [check out the yummy turkish pitas/wraps at Kebabelicious down town]. It's very easy to navigate and get around a predominantly flat landscape by bike, foot or car. And to get there from Warkworth [just 2.5-3 hr trip now] is even easier now that the new motorway takes you to and through Auckland on to the speedy 110 kph Waikato expressway which then takes you right into the heart of Cambridge from the 2nd exit ramp [next after the Avantidrome one] via a lovely straight road past Amazon's huge spaceship-like distribtution centre - nga mihi nunui [many thanks] Cambridge - see you again real soon !! :-)

Very cute little town.
Very cute little town. Not a lot to do here but we just used it to sleep over for an event in Te Awamutu.
We stayed at the Top 10 Holiday Park which we found to be very tidy and clean for a camp ground. Would highly receommend it.
Our favourite restaurant was Hanoi Boy. The service and food were exceptional.

The room needed to be opened up and aired out before guests arrived it smelt bad when walked in. Some flyspray for the ants would be good... we used a bit of pepper and that seemed to work. The couch and dining chairs were very uncomfortable and need to be upgraded. The bed was hard and lumpy and did not sleep well..There are some birds that may be nesting on ..in..or close to the roof...that were very loud in the morning and woke us up. The TV was small and where placed was hard to watch from the couch.

The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. Nice shop owners.
The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. Nice shop owners. Nice open park areas and interesting shops and exhibitions. Very friendly and helpful staff in the information centre. Good variety of restaurants and food available.
The house is stunning. It was a great base for exploring nearby Cambridge bike trails, Hobbiton and the Hamilton Gardens. A lovely home to return to for a relaxing evening after a busy day exploring. Hosts Josie & Rob were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Gorgeous garden which the kids loved running around in, and the nearby playground & pump track were a hit.
Nice contrast between somewhat classic hotel and room design, and all amenities being new, clean and well-maintained. The room was quite large, with a good view on the park. The shower had proper water pressure, which is a rare find in NZ sometimes. Easy parking. Good location, cafes were only a few minutes away (walking).
Great Breakfast - Cereal Blueberries Yoghurt Coffee Tea Orange Juice Milk Tast and Crumpets All Available and beautifully laid out on the table and bench.
Margaret was an outstanding host and would highly recommend if you need a couple of nights in Cambridge. We will sure be returning for future visits to the Waikato.
No breakfast included. Couple of kms back to Cambridge for cafes and restaurants.
Overall freshness and cleanliness of the facilities. Requesting guests to wash their own dishes raises the question of the thoroughness of the previous guests at completing that task. How clean was the mugs and glasses?
The room was clean and tidy. Not a "fancy" place but certainly did the trick. We wanted to stay somewhere so we could have a few drinks and not drive! The Hotel is good walking distance from all the bars and restaurants. Easy check in and out. Good parking off street. Would stay here again.
The accommodation was ideal, very well outfitted. The location was ideal, in the countryside but just 10 minutes from the town of Cambridge and 15 minutes from Hobbiton. Mike and Cai were very helpful hosts. Amongst the best places we have ever stayed at.
A little tricky to find as at the end of a new commercial centre, the hotel signage is distinctive. very close to town .
there were 6 of us for breakfast and we really enjoyed the variety available , Zealong Teas a nice touch.
Lovely peaceful outlook. Have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Love the decor. Comfortable and clean. Excellent hosts. Second time staying here and we will definitely stay again. Easy and scenic drive into Cambridge
The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped. It enjoys access to the hosts' glorious gardens. A short drive takes you into Cambridge. It was a good base for visiting attractions eg Waitomo Caves and Hamilton Gardens.
The bed was really comfortable, the hotel had a good view and was also close to town, and there were several eateries and bars near by (good union). The room was also very tidy and cosy with a coffee pod machine as well.
Nice quiet location with everything we needed for our stay in Cambridge.
Lovely and clean accommodation with space to relax. If we come back to Cambridge, we will certainly stay here again. Great friendly host's.
Margaret made me feel welcome and at home. She went above and beyond for me. She gave me valuable tips on the area (restaurants and walks). I would 100% stay with Margaret again when in Cambridge.
A very cute little place, well outfitted, lovely location, close to highways and town but quiet. I would look to stay here again if I came back to Cambridge
