We enjoyed our brief one night stay at J and Ariya Hotel. The room was clean and very spacious with lots of storage. The bed was super comfy. We liked the kitchenette with microwave, fridge and kettle. The shower was warm and shampoo & body shower gel were provided. The receptionist also arranged for us to get an early morning taxi to the airport which was really helpful. The hotel is close to Bangrak pier and walkable to cafes and restaurants.

The staff was very nice and the location great, walking distance to the night Market and restaurants. The beds were comfortable enough. The breakfast was good and for a long time so one could sleep in, if wanted. We rented a scooter with them, which also worked well.

The hot season was a bit much especially during a heat wave . Sea temp does not cool you down. Lovely place, vibrant night markets, cocktails and food very cheap and delicious. People are so friendly and smiley. Hire car from local vendors with no issues.

Bo Phut is an amazing place to stay.
Bo Phut is an amazing place to stay. The beaches are beautiful and clean. There's a lot of great restaurants and shops to explore. The island is small enough to explore in a day without feeling tired at the end of any tour. I've been to a lot of Thailand areas and this is one of my favourites. Food is cheap and really nice.

There isnt much to do in Bophut.
There isnt much to do in Bophut. We stayed for 4 days and we felt it was too long. The beach is ok albeit small and the only clean areas are those around the hotels and resorts. Once you walk outside your hotel the streets are dirty and smelly and overall lack good infrastructure. there are almost no trees on the streets. Bolt And Grab dont work in the Bophut area and people have to rely on the very expensive taxi mafia. Tourist prices everywhere which are similar to European prices. The Fishermans Village was great with a lot of food options and souvenirs, A must see but open only on Monday and Friday evenings, Other than that, there is nothing else to do in Bophut.

Bophut has a good mix.
Bophut has a good mix. Fisherman's village is quaint but has plenty of life, pubs and restaurants, and a good night market. The beach is clean and not overcrowded and there are plenty of trips on offer Over all a good area to base your trip to Koh Samui from

Lovely clean place full of restaurants/bars, markets, but not too lively, perfect for us and families.
From the pier, the taxis are sooooo expensive. Going back from towns to pier, 200 to 300baht cheaper. So barter. To our hotel price on board was 1,000. We refused and offered 600. That was accepted.
In 4 nights, we ate twice at Summer (next to coco tams) amazing, and we cld see the fire show perfectly.
We hired a car for our stay via our hotel, so probably not the cheapest way. But it was convenient for us on a short stay. One day cost the same as two taxi rides, and instead of doing tours, we went to all the places on tours that we fancied.

The condition of the road surface was abysmal.
The condition of the road surface was abysmal. The drainage is also sadly lacking. The pressure put on the vendors when there is significant rain is terrible. There are also some areas that need a good clean up.
Always wear footwear that can get wet if there in the wet season.
High-end small resort with luxury accommodations and top-notch service. Beautiful landscaping, lush trees and shrubs everywhere, nice good-size pool and an elegant restaurant with reasonable prices. Hotel is about 20 minutes on foot from Fisherman’s Village, either by the road in front of hotel or by the beach. Our fully enclosed premier villa was absolutely gorgeous with marble floors, lots of wood finish, strong air conditioning and a private plunge pool. We wish we could stay there much longer.
Nothing. Waterfront Boutique Hotel advertised the property as beach access luxurious villa. Picture on Booking.com .Yet Beach access destroyed by the council 10 days of work with excavators and beach become river extension and widening. This happened while I was in the property on 22 September until I leave 28 September. I am asking refund. I bought ths property fro one week from Booking.com London, so I want my money back.
amazing !!!! i can’t say enough about this place. the photos doesn’t do it justice. each villa is massive and so comfortable. fully equipped kitchen . total privacy and the gardens are lovely . best value for money in koh samui. this was our best stay… we booked for one day and stayed for 5 days it was that great. location is next to fisherman’s village and the breakfast spot next door is the best in town.
Beautiful part of Samui, right on Bophut Beach. Plenty of swimming pools at the property and the facilities overall were excellent. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and the bed was great (pillows were top notch).
Breakfast was also special with lots of variety and plenty of seats.
Lastly, the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, very efficient and only too happy to aim to please!
I would really recommend this hotel if you are planning on staying in Koh Samui. It is a great location, Fishermans village. About a 5 minute walk from the markets, lots of restaurants and tourist information desks.
The staff were amazing!! We had a problem with our ped and they sorted it all out for us.
Breakfast was lovely, pool was clean and rooms were spacious and comfortable.
I loved the property.. swimming pool and beach by the side is very comfortable and nice. they even provide Thai massage at the hotel which you will pay separately Ofcourse but it’s at your convenience. staff are extremely friendly and helpful. they even allowed us to keep our luggage safely after our checkout to go sightseeing after checkout as our flight was in the evening.
You need to understand that this is a no frills kind of place. My room was quite small, faced the street, and up three flights of stairs. However it was clean, new, and very well located. I also really enjoyed the beach club, 10 or so minutes away by foot. The staff were very nice, helped with my luggage, my room was cleaned daily. I enjoyed my stay and would return.
Everything, the people and staff are very polite. Beaches are a haven at this resort, no heavy sellers like in Bali. Wonderful breakfast. Beds are big and comfortable. Pool is very large and lots of pondoks and sun loungers. We have loved a week year. We had 2 excellent day trips, one organised by the hotel because we were a large group of 9, the other by My Samui.
Great hotel, with a fantastic view to the sea, in a very convenient location. The real highlight of the hotel is Pito - what an amazing guy!!! Super-friendly, very helpful, always up for a chat and just a genuinely nice person. Would recommend the hotel to everyone while in Koh Samui, especially if Pito is there!
Ibis Koh Samui is truly a real gem in the Accor group. The property is well located with the Fisherman’s Village close by. You don't have to struggle to get to the city centre, as there are more than enough ways to reach it by making use of taxi's in the vicinity.
Lovely luxury details at this hotel, decorated beautifully and the staff were all so polite and friendly. Great location along distance from fisherman’s village and lovely beach, though the sand is a little rough, free paddle boards and kayaks which was nice!
The room is super nice and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful, lush and extremely well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that's coming for a visit to Koh Samui.
A fantastic stay on Koh Samui! Even though the island
itself didn’t meet our expectations, this hotel certainly did!
They make up the room everyday, bottled water is provided
very clean and comfortable experience
Its a great boutique hotel, and most importantly it does matches of what you see on a pictures. Its well made and well taken care of. Everything clean. Lot of attention to details. Staff were amazing.
so homely!! many beautiful communal areas, modern pool and cozy, spotlessly clean room. lots of attention to detail (beach towels + books provided etc). favorite place we’ve stayed in thailand!!
Our two level private patio directly on the beach; the location was fun; the bed was comfortable; it was quiet, considering the location; the staff were really good.
