This small hotel is Cosy and clean. It's in the best location of the city, easy to get around by local taxis. Amazing restaurants around too. It's not far away from the Medina, which is amazing! The best part was the food. I give that 5 star! Moroccan breakfast, large portions with great selections. One more thing, we booked and went in to check in immediately, they were so accommodating they let us check in earlier!

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. The guy on reception and his colleague were super nice and helpful. They recommended a restaurant for dinner (Black Pepper) which was also pretty good. The reception manager put me in a cab to take me there - nothing was too much trouble. Good job!

This is a fabulous Riad in Meknes. Stunningly beautiful behind a huge wooden door. Amazing terrace views, where we ate a delicious breakfast. Being a Riad location is spot on.

Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that the whole of Meknes is a building site! While there is a lot of renovation going on, there are still marvelous things to see and do. The medina is very interesting and comes with very little hassling. Its worth taking a day trip - or longer - to the mid Atlas mountains.

I didn't enjoy Meknès itself that much but I would certainly recommend visiting the partially restored Roman city ruins of Volubilis. It's about a 45 mins drive up the mountains. Keep your speed limited to 60 km/h though as there are a lot of police speed traps! It costs 70 dh to enter the grounds and around 200 dh to get a guide to show you around (mine spoke excellent English).

We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis.
We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis. We should have stayed longer. The vendors had quality merchandise and prices were by far better than Fes and Marrakech. Our hosts were very hospitable. The room was comfortable and beautiful. This town is the real heart of Morocco.

Many attractions are covered up, undergoing constructions.
Many attractions are covered up, undergoing constructions. Not much to do here for 3;days.
Medina: alleys are dusty, lots of cats poop along the way. Cats roaming these alleys look dirty and sickly.
Better Options: Stay in Fes and just travel to Meknes for a day to see some attractions. Train ride to Meknes is only 28 dirhams one way. Option 2 - stay in a riad in Meknes for 1 day.

Relatively relaxed and hassle free.
Relatively relaxed and hassle free. A lot of renovation is going on (September 2023) so some monuments and museums are closed. The Jamai museum is excellent. Nearby Volubilis is also well worth a visit. Fez is roughly an hour away by car/bus/train so an easy day trip.

Meknes is going thorough significant change and...
Meknes is going thorough significant change and refurbishment - especially the medina and square. The souk are no longer traditional - they are markets catering to local people. The city clearly has some fantastic history and the Riad we stayed in was part of that but I didn’t see enough attraction for more than a very short visit. If you are visited Volobulis, I would recommend staying in Moulay Iddriss instead.
The property is located in the medina, so it’s very close to the main attractions. However, since it’s in one of the narrow alleys, it’s very silent at night for a good rest. The area is safe with families and kids playing around also at night.
Our room was spacious and clean, and the riad itself is very fascinating.
The owners are absolutely lovely and give you many information about Meknes and Morocco (from places to visit, to Morocco’s history, to where to eat and so on).
It’s been an amazing stay for us!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Beaux Arts. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, demonstrating true kindness and hospitality. The property was exceptionally clean, which gave me a sense of tranquility and made my stay more comfortable. The modern aesthetic of the hotel also enhanced the overall experience. It was a calm and serene oasis in the middle of the bustling city, providing a perfect balance for my travel needs. I'm looking forward to staying here again in the future.
The best Riad during our Morocco round trip that we stayed in, I can say that with my whole convincement. Marvellous architecture, beautiful and cozy rooms and highly clean bathrooms. It was a worthy conclusion of our vacation, and even though we missed the breakfast because of our early departure, we enjoyed the time here very well and felt like greatly welcomed guests. A big thanks to the host that was really sympathetic and heartwearming, it was a pleasure to be around him.
Our plan was to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss from Meknes and it was a very last minute decision to stay overnight in this city. Although we booked very last minute, upon arrival we were kindly welcomed and the staff helped us arrange a private driver to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss immediately. They were also very kind to accommodate to our early morning departure and made breakfast for us. Very much appreciate their hospitality!
The breakfast was very good nice selection. The room was very good had everything needed such as two beds, air conditioning, power plus to power your devices. The bathroom was very good in traditional style. The hotel owners Mohsin and Aziza are very nice and welcoming couple. Mohsin is very knowledgable also had some very good chats with him. He has very good english which helps in learning more about Morocco since it was our 1st time.
we loved staying at Dar Meknes Tresor with the best host of our Trip to morocco sofar. Rashid was very friendly, trustworthy and helped us out with all we needed! the rooms were clean as well as the bathroom. breaktfast was served on the terrace with a great view of the city. unfortunately we only spent a day in Meknes which I now regret! would have loved to spend more time at Dar Meknes Tresor!
Gorgeous looking place and very friendly staff members and the manager is nice allocating and polite like everyone else I have met in there.
The breakfast is delicious and fresh. The room is clean and spacey, It is located near all the historical places in which you would like to visit.
I highly recommend this place to stay if you want a taste of Morocco and Meknes.
Really recommend staying here. Has that elegent riad thing going on, nicely decorated, and a good room as well. Appreciated how chill it was. Location is basically perfect, in the old part of Meknes right next to the medina but not actually in it, so you don't step out the front door right into the thick of things, which is perfect I think. Lovely staff as well.
As seen in the photos the woodwork in the riad is impressive. It’s located just around the corner from a “local”market. The hosts were very welcoming. The cosy rooms had blankets to keep you warm and a nice hot shower. Fantastic views from the terrace. Sadly everything in Meknes seems to be under restoration/construction.
The best accomodation we had on our trip through Morocco!
Room and bathroom was clean (windows are to the inside of the Riad, but that is the traditional old Moroccan style). Whole Riad is very stylish and well decorated. Moroccan breakfast was also really good. The host is very nice and we had an interesting chat.
The hotel is not the newest, but our room was well kept and very very clean (not really common in Morocco). The room was also very large.
Being out of the medina, the location was really easy to find and it was located close to the train station and the area is well served.
This is a superb riad in the center of Meknes old medina. The restoration is stunning. It is not easy to find -- we hired a porter where a car dropped us off to navigate the narrow and mazelike streets of the medina -- but the journey was worth it. Tremendous place overall.
Very good location in Meknes, at some five minutes walk from the main square. The host has been very kind to us and offered to walk us to the city centre if necessary. Great breakfast on the terrace, with a nice view of the minaret of the main mosque
The room and the building were beautiful and comfortable. Amazing terraces. Great breakfast. Great location. Most of all, super nice staff. My favorite 'hotel' in 2 years of travelling.
This was the largest room I have stayed in as a solo traveller in Morocco.
The building itself was large, and the lobby and rooftop terrace were also spacious.
it was a great location across the street from the Meknes Museum. You go down a couple is streets and are there. The riad is fantastic the furniture and staff.
