Amazing place with a lot of charm. Delicious food in the restaurant. Very good matraces. We stayed three night. Walk to town easy 15min walk and save. The team was very attentative. We can only recommend Wifala.

The best way for not getting soroche or altitude sickness is...
The best way for not getting soroche or altitude sickness is to drive straight from the airport to the Sacred Valley and stay there at least the first 3 days of your stay in Cusco. This is the best way to get your body used to such a high altitude and avoid getting sick. Urubamba has great restaurants and hotels all around, so there’s plenty of choices for lunch and dinner. The weather is much warmer and nicer than Cusco and it’s a great hub for visiting the ruins around the place.

Urubamba is the perfect base from which to explore the Sacred Valley. It's also a quieter, less overtouristed alternative to Cuzco. Visitors can walk clear across town without being stopped by touts every few steps, but getting to Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras is a breeze (and cheap). The town also has plenty of great dining options, all for much less than you'd pay in Cuzco, and it's perfect for people watching. It may seem a bit rough around the edges at first but within a day you'll find it comfortable and even homey.AndreCanada - 8.0Scored 8.0

I liked staying here. Great food. Some good local sights. Easy access to both Pisac and Ollantaytambo. It's a little less quaint than those other two tourist hot spots, but I preferred that Urubamba was a real city, with less domination from tourists. It is more centrally located than the other two, making it easier to get to them both. Really enjoyed my stay.

It is a family run hotel with beautifull vieuws. It is best to stay at the hotel as there is not much to do in the area but enough at the property itself. We had breakfast at the balcony and in the garden, took a massage, used the jacuzzi at sunset and had a romantic dinner. Relaxed in the hammock. The food is good and the people are friendly. The bed slept great and the bathtub in the room was a bonus!

They help you every step of the way - going up and coming down. Once you reach the hotel - they make a splendid meal with amazing presentation. It is unbelievable really.
