The room was a decent size and had both comfy bed and a sofa(bed) which was nice to have.
Nice terrace overlooking the lake with seating.
Dinner was from a small menu but the food was excellent. We had fish with creamed risotto, new potatoes and some sugar snaps.
Breakfast had a seriously good selection of both hot and cold items.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel was located conventiently near both the train and the ferry terminal. When attempting to check in before 15:00 the desk clerk was extremely rude, interrupting and admonishing me for arriving early before I could even introduce myself. We ended up having to wait until 50 minutes after official check-in time to have access to our room. We booked the Presidential Suite and were very disappointed with it. It was old and dated, with dirty carpet, dusty surfaces and missing both the bathrobes and slippers that were listed as provided amenities. Also, it is very annoying to have a mini-bar but no prices.
There was no telephone in the room so the only way to contact the staff was by going to the front desk and waiting in line. The property is very dated and in serious need of a renovation. In addition, the staff could use a refresher course in customer courtesy.

My trip to Kristiansand was primarily to visit my son . The city is very nice during the summer and believe that there are more activities, but not much to do during the winter , not unless it’s for shopping 🛍

Nearby water park and zoo (Dreypark) was fantastic, we spent the whole day there. Ferry ride from Lillesand to Kristiansand on the M/B Oya was spectacular, highly recommended to see the coast and small villages nestled among the islands. Book ahead to make sure you get on. We took the ferry one way and then took the city bus back to pick up the cars in Lillesand. Many restaurants to choose from in the downtown area.

Norway is stunning and beautiful.
Norway is stunning and beautiful. Kristiansand is the jumping off point after arriving on the Ferry from Hirtshals, Denmark. The drive along the southern coast is absolutely amazing. I would love to go back.
Breakfast is good, room is ok, however cold floors in the bathroom and slightly dirty floor with some rubbish and food from previous guests under the bed (when we moved the bed) - but this is probably something which is difficult to move and clean for a cleaning lady. Location is good and staff is very helpful and polite. We could get extra bed-cloth, toilet paper, towels, even some place in the fridge at reception for milk for children. It was comfortable for our family with (many) small children to stay in the hotel.
Great location , very quiet and within walking distance to shops , gas station and bus stop. Very short drive to Dyreparken . Host was kind and welcoming . Good size apartment for the 4 of us , cot provided and a nice terrace with small garden area. We were all very happy and will definitely be back again in the future !
Cozy and nice apartment with everything needed. The bed is very good, and the place is nice and clean. The owners are very friendly and accomodating expecially regarding check in/check out. Perfect place to chill and get a good night of sleep after you have been discovering and hiking around Norway.
Hotel Is great, seems new, staff is very service minded. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Very central close to the park and with only a minute to walk to the famous main street Markens. The price is also good, and breakfast was very tasty. All in all great value for money 😃
Very smooth check in with helpful friendly staff.
The room and overall hotel was spotless, Underground parking available with lift direct to hotel floors.
The breakfast was amazing ! Huge spread of food and again helpful friendly staff. Will certainly stay again.
The location of the hotel was great, with amazing views out over the sea and islands, The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - I almost wished we were staying an extra night to try all the things we missed!
Clean, modern, great bed, windows I could open for fresh air and could also control the heat and light from a console at the door. Slept very well and the blinds made the room completely dark, a good thing in June in Norway.
Great place to stay for up to 4 people. It is a little bit off the beaten path, but very worth it. Very clean, comfy and great price for what's on offer compared to the pricier hotels in the city. Strongly recommend
The hotel was located right by the water, and we had a nice view firm our window. The breakfast buffet was amazing with many great choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Everhthing: the house atmosphere, unique interior, quite surroundings, lots of light inside. Kitchen had all you can need to cook, bed was comfy. Great Norway house experience!!
I loved the room - very nice and modern design. Everything was impecable clean. The bed was comfortable. And the view from the huge floor to ceiling windows was fantastic.
So close to the colour line terminal with a digital checkin facility that meant I had no worries with arriving after midnight. Room was small but clean and comfortable.
