Loved the room, interesting decor and comfortable bed. But what made the stay so great were the lovely people, kind and welcoming. I ate dinner as well as having breakfast and both were delicious
Great location from the station and central to the town. I would definitely stay again if I am in the area

This hotel was very tired and could go with a luck of paint… the bathroom was grubby.. toilet seat had black marks where it had had the enamel scratched off the shower glass had mould at the bottom of it and the shower may was grubby underneath… also the entire room was lacking in any light.. the fans from the kitchen were a constant hum and the bed linen wasn’t big enough for the two single beds they’d put together .. we booked for 2 nights but left after one… the staff were great and food was ok but accommodation was shocking… also accommodation want even in the pub but around the corner I would like someone from customer services to contact me direct about the entire experience please

A very interesting town.
A very interesting town. The castle and gardens are well worth a visit. Also the Abbey is magnificent along with the area ribs about. The high street has plenty of interest, with several independent cafes and shops. The town is architecturally attractive. Plenty of cat parks.
The owners clearly aim to provide and maintain the highest standards in all areas - from cleanliness to service levels, and from environmental concerns to high quality food and accommodation. We were very impressed indeed, and we have stayed in hundreds of hotels in our lifetime. We should also mention how friendly, helpful and approachable the owners were and this carried through to all the staff we encountered. We felt very at home here.
self catering. The location was quiet, peaceful, with lovely open countryside views from all windows. If the weather had been kind we would have enjoyed miles of lovely countryside walks, but sadly it rained. A lot.
That said it was well placed for visits to Sherborne (for the castle) and Yeovil, for shopping etc. , and a thirty-five minute drive to Weymouth. Other close coastal locations were easily accessible from there.
Superb location with views out across fields and paddock with horses. Situated near three or four small villages, each with character and pubs/places to eat. Ideal place to stay for a few nights for anyone wishing to get to many of the scenic places in Dorset, especially Sherborne or further south to the coast. Very good, filling breakfast.
Unbelievable food, very hospitable staff, lovely location. We didn't get the best weather for walking but did go into Sherborne for the Saturday market which is beautiful and visited Haynes Motor Museum on the way home on Sunday which was a brilliant morning out.
Very clean and well maintained with everything you need for your stay. Excellent location for looking around Sherborne and to access places to eat, the high st as well as the Abbey and museum. Everyone was very friendly and conscientious looking after the town.
The location in Sherborne is perfect. It is right in the center of shops, restaurants and cultural attractions. The apartment is roomy, clean, quiet, and attractive. Our host, Paul, was easily available to answer any questions. We felt well cared for.
Susie and her Claire Cottage were fantastic! Beautiful historic home that was within walking distance of all of Sherborne's best attractions, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Breakfast was scrumptious. A day trip to Lulworth Cove is highly recommended.
The cleanest place I've been to so far, I'd give 11/10,
Good WiFi,
All the facilities you need apart from the washing machine,
Pub a few steps away, open till late, good food,
Private parking spot,
Will book again if I'm in Sherborne again.
Pub /restaurant with a few guest rooms, very friendly staff, good facilities in an excellent location. Breakfast is generous and so is the restaurant. Overall, a nice atmosphere and a pleasant experience which will tempt us back to Sherborne
A cleverly appointed studio minutes from Sherborne station. Has everything a couple or small family would need for a short stay. Very clean and comfortable. All the little touches like the wireless phone charger were much appreciated.
Lovely boutique hotel, convenient for Sherborne. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large with shower and bath.
Complimentary slow gin was appreciated. Spa facilities were small but adequate. Food was excellent.
The whole stay was very good indeed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Bit of a walk into town though about 20 mins but you cant have everything.
