Lovely characterful cottage. Clean, comfortable and run by helpful hosts. Perfect breakfasts, comfortable beds, everything in good order. Well-situated in the most picturesque village. We stopped at Lynmouth to have a look around and stayed all day, walking the Watersmeet river path. This place is magical. Great conversations with other visitors to the area at The Castle pub. Step out of The Cottage into The Castle, opposite, from one warm welcome to another! Chris & Clare think of everything for their guests. You'll find a cosy lounge with coffee machine; boot storage for your footwear after a day's walk; books, games and conversation to help you plan the logistics of your stay if you need help. Wonderful old cottage in a great location. Neil and Tyronne are exceptional hosts with great attention to detail and very thoughtful. Great breakfast.

Awfully staff disgustingly filthy rooms the worse breakfast I've ever had served stone cold room various sharp staples on ripped chair cut my arm when told staff they laughed an said they send maitenince didn't happen. No room cleaning or fresh towels tea coffee etc whole time. Rude staff that are not hospitable. Sauna covered in dirt so was pool area jacuzzi broken with a yellow puddle in it absolutely nasty hotel

I stayed in hotel for one night only but the facilities were great, tasty breakfast. Room was bigger than expected and hotel close to the sea.

Great location. Nicely decorated rooms. Really excellent breakfast. Also liked that it is owned by the YMCA and run as a charity, investing in giving apprenticeships to young people.

Exceptional value for money, for a double room at £76 a night, especially over a Bank Holiday weekend, when the West Somerset Railway is hosting its hugely popular steam gala. My room was spacious and reasonably well equipped, with tea and coffee in the room. Quiet too, despite being over a busy pub. Being able to just go downstairs to a restaurant for dinner or breakfast was great too, after walking miles all day! My room had an ensuite shower and bath, with plenty of hot water too. A comfortable bed and free wifi completed the picture. Key card entry to both the rooms and the access corridor was nice to see.
