Staying on Poole Quay was great.
Staying on Poole Quay was great. A lovely stroll along the waterfront with views to Brownsea Island. You can take a boat trip around the Harbour, alighting at Brownsea as one of the destinations. Poole Quay has cafes, bars, good restaurants, very good fish and chips from a quayside hut. It's a short stroll to Poole Old Town with its shops and further along to main Poole Shopping Centre. Very good local transport links to Bournemouth and suburbs. Infact easy to get anywhere like Swanage, Weymouth, Salisbury etc.

A historic, well maintained town with many of the facilities you would expect to find in a modern day town.
The harbour was an attractive place to visit with many businesses there to serve visitors whilst Poole Park was well worth the visit.

It’s a lovely location.
It’s a lovely location. Lots of really nice places to eat out and plenty of good shops. We didn’t venture too far away, but I would definitely recommend a trip to Brownsea Island. We also visited Sandbanks, Wareham and Corfe Castle, all very close by.

We looked around the harbour and went on a boat trip of the harm=bour and sandbanks which was very interesting. We were due to go the the speedway but this was cancelled due to the weather which was disappointing but the speedway was really easy to find and there looked like there would be ample parking. We also spent time in Bournemouth.
We ate at the Quay café where we had breakfast it was fab

Lovely resort, lots to see and do.
Lovely resort, lots to see and do. Harbour boat trip was well worth it as was to Jurassic Coast cruise. Lots of varied mealtime opportunities as well as the usual fish and chips. Plenty of traditional pubs on offer. I highly recommend a visit to the RNLI college and All Weather Lifeboat Centre where all the lifeboats are made, you can even stay there.

Excellent location for either staying within the area or travelling to interesting places within Dorset. Great local facilities within a short walk for dining, recreation and shopping. Would recommend El Rancho and Da Vinci for food and perhaps the Poole Arms for a quiet, friendly drink. The Jurassic Coast boat trip is one not to be missed with its visit round Old Harry Rocks to Swanage. Buses provide a great service but there are plenty of parking areas available. A day trip to Kingston Lacey (National Trust) was exceptional.
The RNLI College is in a great location, near to the waterfront with plenty of restaurants etc. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the room was perfect, very comfortable with lovely views across Poole Harbour. The restaurant gas good, sensibly priced and better value than most hotels; breakfast was fabulous, so much choice and delicious. Added to all of this, you are surrounded by history and information about the RNLI and contributing to the charity at the same time, All in all, the RNLI College exceeded our expectations.
The first thing you see when entering the room is the wonderful view across Poole Harbour. The room was comfortable and well spaced, with work station, sofa, plenty wardrobes, and double bed. Bathroom facilities were modern and clean. I have stayed in 4* hotels less well presented and not as pleasant staff.
There was a restaurant where a great breakfast was served and bar on the next level with snack food availability. Again the views were magnificent.
Unfortunately, can only review the room because we had to cut short our stay due to illness and were unable to use any hotel facilities or restaurant, etc. otherwise. We were impressed with our sea view room (#214). It was clean, lovely modern furnishings and decoration, excellent in-room facilities and the balcony view was incredible. Good parking available when staying.
It is a comfortable room with friendly hosts. The location is close to Poole Park so a nice place to walk is right there. There are several places to get food close at hand. It’s also not a far walk from the shopping center and high street. It was perfect for my purposes! And I loved having a tiny towel warmer in my bathroom!
I've stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels in the US and this one in Poole was exceptional. Friendly staff. The breakfast was so organized and the staff kept everything immaculate. High praise for this establishment. I'll remember to book a room again if I travel this way.
The location is stunning. A heritage hotel which is right on the beach with the waves lapping below the restaurant terrace and the poolside area. Stunning views over the entrance to Poole Harbour. Lots of activity to watch passing by.
The meals at the hotel were excellent, generous portions and very tasty. The hotel location was on a bus route with a speedy service to Poole centre and Bournemouth. The staff were excellent, polite, professional and efficient.
Property kept very clean - lovely room - great breakfast with plenty of choice. Debs and Doug made us very welcome. Pleasant walk into Poole quay or bus stop outside house. Lovely meal at Yachtsman five minutes walk away.
Great hotel, in a superb location overlooking the harbour, close to pubs, restaurants and town centre. Convenient on site parking (chargeable) a bonus. Breakfast was good, help yourself buffet type, all tastes catered for.
Breakfast was fine I like a cooked breakfast myself but continental breakfast had numerous choices. Location was ideal short walk down to beach Poole and Bournemouth just a short drive away Hotel and rooms were outstanding
The hotel was in a great location. It’s a good base if you want to go and explore Poole. Close to pubs, bars, restaurants and shops. There is a Tesco just three doors down which is helpful.
Superb breakfast with lots of choice. Excellent room and facilities. Ideal location. Friendly and efficient staff. Overall has to be recommended as a hotel choice in Poole.
Our sea view was perfect from our room and the hotel was right on the beach. Poole and Bournemouth was a walk away. We used the e-scooters which was so much fun.
Room was nice and tidy, the hotel was quiet and the location a few minutes walk to Poole Quay. On the whole and excellent night away for my wife and myself.
The location simply can't be beat, the staff is remarkable, and the breakfast amazing. What a fabulous place to stay for a few days as we enjoyed Poole.
