Staff were very welcoming and so friendly, cannot fault them at all. The manager was kind enough to give us a lift as the local taxi company are a bit unreliable. A good full English breakfast was great value for money. The place isn't fancy or high end but it's great value for money if you're looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep for a night or two.

Despite some poor reviews , I can only speak of my own experience. It's got "budget " in the title, set your expectations accordingly. Large bright room with an obviously recently refurbished ensuite . clean fresh bedding helpful staff.

Best place I’ve stayed , staff so easy going and respectful , who deserved same respect back.
the welcome was into a lovely old pub full of atmosphere with Kaitlin behind the bar who made us feel welcome immediately.
lovely room with everything we needed to be comfortable.
Breakfast was a pre order and the best but was we had our names on the form as individuals and they were used to good effect at the great breakfast when we were greeted by name as we entered the dining room.
rooms were immaculately clean.
having stayed in lots of high value hotels
covered in dust and smeared glass this was truly in a different class.
**********
We had a fabulous stay. The hotel is pretty new and everything is modern and sparkling clean. The room was fairly small, with no cupboard space (there's a space to hang your clothes) but as we were just staying for the one night this didn't really matter. The room had a lovely sea view and was really comfortable. The bed was amazing, we had a really good night's sleep. Geoff is a fantastic host: our breakfast was lovely and we chatted with him about the hotel and the area.
The breakfast was very good. The room was a bit smaller that we are used to. There was somewhere to sit but it was not a place that was suitable for drying my hair and putting on make-up as the only mirror was not nearby. Anyway, we managed okay. Staff were very accommodating. We hadn't eaten that afternoon but we were told we could have a take-away in the bar. Therefore, a few doors down from the hotel we got a really lovely Chinese Take-Away.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this guest house. I was warmly welcomed and shown around. Options at breakfast were excellent. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Clearly guests are treated very well, and supported in their stay. I would add that I potentially lost an item at the hotel, and the staff helped me a great deal, they let me back int he room and I was pakced off with a coffee for a long jounrey.
I liked everything there . Adele and Geoff the owners of the hotel where amasing people, very friendly.
Recomended to all my colleagues as this place is the best in Peterlee, even in Durham area :)
Rooms were big and clean, all you need was there. Nice large shower, tv with netflix :) was quiet overnight.
Another 10 for the breakfest . Bravo!
Excellent breakfast, good choices available. The hotel room was comfortable and had everything needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect to enable us to visit Seaham, Welfare Park, the Royal Navy Museum and Heugh Battery Museum at the Headland.
Breakfast was lovely. All freshly cooked by the owner.
The room we had was the courtyard studio - situated on its own in the hotels beer garden. The room was very modern, clean, had everything we needed. The TV was the biggest I’ve seen in a hotel room.
The hotel and facilities were immaculate, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was a problem. This hotel is beautiful and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
Lovely outlook, comfy bed, clean, friendly owner/staff, good soundproofing, good location for my work, near town, close to beaches. It was like a lovely boutique hotel. Warm, welcoming and friendly.
