Really well located and welcoming staff. Great to have so many facilities like the pool and gym, and quite well priced. Comfy beds and great shower.
Kelling was the village along the road from the hotel, there...
Kelling was the village along the road from the hotel, there was no footpath along the main road so it was not accessible on foot.
We would have liked to catch the bus along the coastal road but could not get to the bus stop on foot.
But there was a nice walk from the hotel to the sea. Holt, the nearest little town was beautiful, so many Georgian buildings

The whole hotel is superb and very well appointed. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the cooked breakfast choices are the best we have ever had in UK over 50 years!
The location is quite and so near to all the North Norfolk coast which is beautiful. Also near two lovely National Trust properties well worth visiting at Felbrigg and Blikling.

Very close to coast for visit to seaside towns and Holt old market town for independent shops , pubs and eateries. Stones throw from Muckleborough Military Museum. Access to country walks. Norfolk Ornithologist Site very close by. Bird and seal watching. Holt country park nearby. Local National Trust houses and gardens nearby ; Felbrigg and Blickling Halls. Only slightly further afield are Holkham Hall and Sandringham House. One hour drive into old city of Norwich. We ate breakfasts in hotel and evening meal, good quality food and portions. One night we went into neighbouring Cley village pub, 3 Swallows for evening meal. Coast Hopper hourly bus service runs past hotel drive enabling visits to all local coastal districts and some inland villages, think £2 unlimited daily travel.

Great hotel and spring board for Sherringham.
Great hotel and spring board for Sherringham.
We went seal watching at Winterton
Room excellent it is I believe one of two rooms at the top of hotel which have additional facilities but worth it for a short stay.
We requested a view of the other rooms as it was quiet in January and they are all excellent.
We like this time of year we will be back again

Great site. Lodges were well spaced out in the trees.
Great site. Lodges were well spaced out in the trees. Shop is great. They had everything we needed.
We spent 2 days on beach at Wells, one at Felbrigg, one at Holkham and one at East Ruston garden. All were lovely. Went shopping in Holt on one day and on the Weybourne to Sheringham train on another. This was the highlight for my granddaughter.
The sausage rolls at the beach cafe in Wells are to die for. Mostly ate at the site cafes in Felbrigg, East Ruston and Holkham. Didn't need to cook at the lodge on many occasions.

Great location to explore the coast of Norfolk - Cromer, Sheringham, Blakeney are all nearby. Alternatively you are 5 mins drive from the beautiful town of Holt and its many eateries, boutiques and antique shops.
What's not to like! Peaceful location, beautiful Shepards hut, great base for exploring North Norfolk, plenty to see and do in local area, relaxing, magical, comfy, cozy, warm, very well equipped. Star gazing through window above the bed, chilling in the hot tub, watching the nature all around, cozying up by the log fire...just wow! All round exceptional on all measures. Book without hesitation, you will not be disappointed...this will be a break you will not forget!
We liked the location, the staff were very polite and kind, the dinner tasty and the waiters very well mannered.
The hotel had several lounges to have a drink/coffee after dinner without feeling the need to have to rush to our room. There were many groups of people chilling out in those lounges none of them too loud .
The gardens are very nicely kept so lovely to see them from the windows in the hotel.
Food was outstanding, excellent presentation, portions were large, and quality first class, equal to most good London restaurants. Price at £35 per head for 3 courses was remarkable. Staff we excellent, friendly and accommodating, nothing was any trouble, no issues with Covid restrictions, staff wore masks at all times. tables well spaced out, we will be returning to the Pheasant Hotel.
The room was a good size and lovely, and the facilities very good. The bed was large and comfortable.
The food was lovely and the evening meal had a good selection to choose from. Staff were very welcoming and provided a good service. Breakfast was also very nice . The whole ambience in the hotel was really nice. We would definitely use again.

Loved the beautiful rural location and quiet surroundings. The hotel was better than expected and we had a fabulous stay. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. Great little touches and breakfast was really food. Staff welcoming and friendly, we couldn't have asked for more.
Love this hotel but won't be returning. 5 dogs in rooms adjacent and opposite (we were in room 27). Barking at 7am. Back door continually being opened and shut to let dogs in and out. Dog poo bag hooked on rear wiper blade of car. Not a pretty sight :-(
Good selection for breakfast, and dinner, Restaurant all clean and tidy, Staff all friendly, and polite. Room was good
makes a change in hotel rooms to be able to open, and close all windows with ease, good powerful shower ,Brilliant !
