The shower was mouldy around the bottom. The duvets were hardly big enough for the single beds. Biggest problem was that the ground floor bedroom was on the street level and as the hotel bar closed at 2am all those passing were loud and disruptive. We didn’t get to sleep till gone 3am. I know the bar can’t control the noise of customers on the street but when you’ve been told it’s a quiet room it’s very annoying. On the plus side the staff and food in the bar was good.

Beautiful apartments, well equipped, kitchen wasn't the biggest but had everything we needed. Met by the host on arrival and shown to our upgraded room, which gave as our own door to the rear of the property. Would definitely use The Clarendon again

I really like Dundee but have only started visiting fairly recently. Prior to that it was always somewhere we stopped for a quick snack before heading on to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
For my 11 year old, she loves the shopping as we do let her loose by herself (which is not something I would allow in Glasgow or Edinburgh, too big) and I like the culture. The Discovery and the V&A are right next to each and good for a visit. The HMS Unicorn is also worth a visit and we have enjoyed the Science Centre and Camperdown Park previously.
There are some lovely pubs and restaurants, I have never met any rude staff, they are always so lovely and friendly.
Highly recommend a wee visit.

Plenty of things to do and see. We were there for a gig at The Caird Hall love the intimate atmosphere of the venue. Plenty of shops pubs and eating places. Easy to get to although new LEZ might be a bit of a nuisance for city centre things

Well I am going to say it is great going to Dundee as I am an expat.
Not too impressed with the V&A, Lovely building but disappointing inside. McManus is better. Up the Law Hill is well worth the visit even in the cold and wind etc. and Broughty Ferry is great for shopping and pubs etc.

Only a brief visit (open day visit to one of the Universities with son from England). Wish we had longer - lovely small city, friendly atmosphere and very beautiful location. New design museum a must. Will be back to see more of city and area, even if son does not end up at the Uni.

City centre has good museums and nice walks along the river. Good transport and city centre restaurants. Fabulous Thai restaurant next door to hotel, Italian and Indian restaurants short bus/taxi ride away. Good cafes for breakfast. Regular buses to seaside. Would have enjoyed better pubs without football screens. Hotels better for a quiet drink.

Visit Shackleton and Scotts ship Discovery, just outside the hotel, across the road, 5 mins away plus V&A. Also Dundee is where the Beano comic is published and it’s characters are featured in the V&A and in the city.
Apex is one of my no.1 to go while traveling to Dundee. Excellent location, parking always avaliable, nice views from the hotel rooms. Every single member of staff is very nice, polite and helpful! Even that front desk staff was extremely helpful and informative, I managed to get lost anyway, but then the housekeeping ladies helped me out again, they were very lovely and polite. The whole team of employees are exceptionally well trained to deal with customers. I think I like the atmosphere created by the whole of Apex team the most.
What not to like! Quick check-in, friendly staff, literally at the heart of Dundee and right above the train station. Pretty close to all bus stops, a 10-second walk from train station and overlooking the sea with lovely view and tall building. Room seevice was amazing as well. In comparison to the most famous hotel chain, it's a world ahead. Would love for them to expand across the Uk and keep reasonable room prices.
Wasn't paid for this review ha. Came over to Dundee to attend a workshop in Ninewells Hospital
The hotel was really dog-friendly and the dog was allowed down for breakfast with us. We also had the option of eating in the room, using the kitchen facilities, which was also great. The car park near the hotel (East Park) was relatively cheap to use and a short walk from the hotel. Room was clean, breakfast was fresh and plentiful and we would definitely stay there again if visiting Dundee. The hotel is close to the shops, bars and restaurants, a lot of the bars are also dog-friendly.
The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, including with parking. We liked the cool, minimalist vibe of Hotel Indigo. The rooms were comfortable. Dinner was delicious and a young man in charge called Lewis was especially good. The drinks list was fine, albeit slightly expensive. We loved the ground floor exhibits which highlight the history of Dundee in publishing, jute, jam. Hotel Indigo is an ideal location from which to explore Dundee, including the superb McManus.
We stayed here for a few days to celebrate my wife's birthday. The room was spotlessly clean & the service we received was excellent. We've stayed at many hotels in Dundee over the years, but have to say this place was absolutely fantastic. Tracy & all her team are extremely courteous & professional. You receive a really happy welcome. Well Done 👏
Overnight stay while my daughter got started at Ninewells Hospital. Short taxi trip to hospital. Staff young and all very pleasant and more than helpful. Took opportunity of the dinner, bed and breakfast deal and it was super value. Hotel is a secret gem on the outskirts of Dundee set in beautiful grounds. Will certainly visit again.
For a budget hotel it served a purpose. Just somewhere to sleep before we went on to the next location. The staff were lovely and helpful. The bed was comfortable and had the amenities you needed for a basic stay. Luckily there’s a garage which an M&S next door and a subway so you can get some food. Good location to get into Dundee.
Ideally located hotel if you are visiting the Cairngorms or travelling to the Northern Highlands, or just looking to visit Dundee. Staff were friendly and helpful. About 2 miles away from the airport. The hotel has leisure facilities. The breakfast was varied and enjoyable.
For the price, the holiday inn express in Dundee is a good choice. The chap on reception when we arrived around midnight after an awful journey was welcoming, friendly and efficient. The breakfast is what you would expect from a budget hotel but it was tasty and sufficient.
Location is on the main shopping street of Dundee. There was a secure place to store my rented e-bike over night. I noticed there was a kitchen available to guests for food preparation. (Didn't use it) The staff was helpful and listened to me.
Great hotel next to downtown Dundee in Old renovated Mill. Super clean, new, modern but with nice touches left of existing buildings. Staff are excellent, breakfast very big and nice buffet. Tea and coffee all day in cosy lobby.
Hotel and grounds were lovely. let us check in early which was great after an
overnight flight from Canada. Overall we enjoyed our stay! Staff were very helpful and friendly. great way to spend our first day in Scotland
All the staff we encoutered were really friendly , the hotel has a good location to explore Dundee.
A 5min walk to the trainstation, busstation and the waterfront with the museums.
Rooms were a bit cramped but clean.
Lovely small hotel with loads of character and a really friendly welcome. A short walk from the city centre but much more peaceful with a cracking view across the Tay. The Dundee cake in the room was a great touch!
We had a nice walk around the University of Dundee Botanic Garden across the road but otherwise you would need a car to get anywhere. The location was easy to find. Nice they had a restaurant on site.
The location and the staff are amazing. The view from my window the second time I stayed was on the river side and I really liked it. The hotel environment was very quite giving it a special charm.
The owners were lovely and very informative about the local area. We had a few fun chats. The hotel is near the main street where we had gorgeous food and even a karaoke evening.
