Poor quality and rude managers. Constant construction noises, a bad smell, a constantly closed pool, constantly closed gym and sauna. (summary of the hotel)

Was pleasantly surprised, after reading the reviews was a little anxious.
We did not experience anything that was mentioned in the previous reviews. It wasn't a 5 star experience but for the price it was good. Yes it is a little tired and dated, but was comfortable and clean for our stay. The kids felt comfortable too.
I would say that they do need to supply a hairdryer for each room as there were none, and maybe an iron and ironing board in the rooms rather than 1 shared one in the hall. Apart from that it was only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the beech. The lady who welcomed us on our arrival was extremely polite and friendly. They did an amazing job to get the room ready even though we turned up early. The staff are extremely friendly. If you can over look the imperfections then it's not a bad deal when booking here. For what your paying, Oh and 1 double and 3 single bed in the family room no one single bed bug we came across and we did check. Unlike the other reviews.

Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centred on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road goes east to neighbouring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also offers hotels near the BIC – Bournemouth International Centre in the West Cliff area. This convention centre and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre, located next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon that offers far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Opposite is a Grade I-listed church, and St Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of ‘Frankenstein’.
On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Centre, is Bournemouth Airport.

I read reviews of Bournemouth on Tripadvisor before I went but after I had booked.
I had been many times in my youth, only living in The New Forest myself but this was a total culture shock.
The place has turned into an absolute dive, I could think of more choice words but they wouldn't get printed.
I wanted to go to the shops as well as the beach but there doesn't seem to be any shops left, only foreign cafes/restaurants with dirty uncared for frontage. I struggled even to find a decent coffee shop.
I went in the park with the aviarys but even these seemed grimy.
Eventually I gave up and got on a bus to Boscombe which isn't the nicest of places but at least has a few shops and a lovely looking arcade with finally, a great italian coffee shop.
I planned to treat myself to a nice meal but sadly couldn't find anywhere that looked nice and ended up in a basic cafe with egg and chips. Nothing wrong with egg and chips but I wanted something a bit special for a change.
The beach at Bournemouth was visited in the evening and this is the only thing that seems to have stayed the same.
I will be looking to visit anywhere else but Bournemouth next time.

The hotel room was spotless.
The hotel room was spotless. A bit tight on the teabags & milk, we had to keep asking for more to make a cup of tea. The position of the hotel was perfect, the beach, shops & pubs/cafes were just a 5 minute walk away.
The bar upstairs was really nice, all the staff were friendly except for the guy on reception when we went to check out on Saturday morning, he was quite rude which my friend & I felt was bad, especially when greeting people at reception, it’s important to be friendly & approachable but this guy was certainly not! The bar staff were lovely though, very warm and friendly. We didn’t eat at the hotel as it was a bit expensive, so we went into town.

Bournemouth town centre much like any other town high street with closed, empty shops and no soul.
Some of the area around Boscombe is very rough looking but we didn't feel unsafe
Weekend vibe away helped by actually seeing sunshine rather than the rain and thunderstorms we left at home :)

Pretty village of Westbourne with lovely shops and cafes
Bournemouth International Centre was great for a concert
I stay at the Lynden Court Hotel every year, this being my sixth time. The location is great, only a short walk from both the town and the beaches, there's plenty of places to go and explore, in and around Bournemouth with Poole, Dorchester, Weymouth and Christchurch on the door step. There's lovley walks along the prom from Sandbanks right along to Hengistbury.
The rooms are of a good size plenty big enough for two. Tea and coffee is provided. There's a continental breakfast, which is help yourself.
We had a great stay at The Hedley Townhouse. The hotel is spotless, nicely decorated and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The owners are super friendly and caring for their guests. They put breakfast items in the tea room in the morning, which was very nice before starting the day exploring the area. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the beach in a quiet area with dining options around. It was a great experience all around and we would stay there again if coming back to Bournemouth!
Fantastic Hotel. Reception was excellent Mia was so lovely northing was to much trouble. I was upgraded with wonderful sea views. The crab restaurant is top marks Beautiful food.best of all is Gorgeous seafood. Eille the waitress was so kind helpfully.lovely straff in the restaurant. Breakfast was outstanding Beautiful cooked allways hot and my eggs I ordered poached eggs were the best.had them most days.park centre hotel is just 2min walk the beach ⛱️ and Bournemouth pier.xx Fantastic Hotel.
A great place to stay..a lovely old building, very well decorated and spotlessly clean. We were given a suite which was fabulous and it was great value for money. Plenty of parking spaces and just a short walk to the beachfront. We had breakfast at the sister hotel, the Derby Manor and that too was one of the best we have had. There was plenty of choice and it was all freshly cooked. It far exceeded our expectations. Definitely will stay there again when next in Bournemouth.
Stayed here to attend the Bournemouth air festival. Perfect location minutes from the beach and sitting outside at the bar looking down on the evenings firework display was a wonderful end to an amazing day. Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful so what more could anyone ask? The hotel has huge potential and if the tired rooms were refreshed the sky’s the limit for this ‘could be perfect’ hotel. And yes we would certainly stay again.
The best & so lovely, professional special shout out for Cathy, Calla, the young barman from North East England and the night time male Santos who couldn't do enough for me to help when I had to be up at 3am , leaving at 4.30 am for my check in at 5 Bournemouth Airport.
Every single member of the single member of the sfaff ( all Staff are the hotel's best asset and a credit to themselves and their employer.
Easily the best hotel that I have stayed in when I visit Bournemouth and I've stayed in quite a few different hotels over the last few months. Great value for money, large rooms, really comfortable beds and facilities. A five minute walk from the town centre and the beach. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. I've stayed here twice and will be booking again.
Everything was amazing and comfortable, the lovely gentleman at the reception was extremely accommodating and kind, and even helped us chill our wine and brought us wine glasses to our room.
The breakfast next door was one of the best I've had at a hotel in the UK, and the staff was also amazing. All in all 10 out of 10, we will come back for a longer stay!
I would highly recommend this hotel for a family group- the staff were friendly and outstanding in trying to make everything run smoothly for us -they went over and above our expectations.
The food was excellent both breakfast and evening. Checking in and out was great and the location was perfect- we could walk into the town and to the beach.
We could not fault our stay, excellent value for the money, The staff were friendly and made our stay a very happy experience, the hotel is just outside of the shopping centre and beach area, but a walkable distance just down the hill or if you didn't fancy walking, the bus stop is just around the corner from the hotel.
It was an interesting place to stay with quite an unusual decor. The hotel was well maintained and all area spotlessly clean. The room was comfortable , but the shower room was a little cosy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We could easily walk to restaurants and into Bournemouth town.
Location of hotel was ok, although Bournemouth as a place was as a massive let down. Whilst the Derby Manor is really nice and well appointed, the city centre area is full of what appears to be homeless and drunken/drugged up immigrants that pester you for money and make you feel uneasy.
Hotel and staff were delightful🤗.
Delicious afternoon tea with the best selection of vegetarian sandwiches I've ever had 😋.
Room was excellent 😍.
Spa treatments were relaxing and you got the full 60mins 😁 not at all rushed, and the relaxation room was pure indulgence 😌
The staff were great, so easy to communicate with reception on WhatsApp as well as face to face. Staff in the restaurant for breakfast were also excellent.
Great hotel with good parking. We walked into Bournemouth and left the car parked for our whole stay.
Location was good, close to the seafront and only a small walk to the main Bournemouth centre and pier.
Initial thoughts were the hotels decor had been modernised but closest inspection. Cobwebs in corners, paintwork required touch ups, stained carpets.
The location was excellent to amenities and the beach.
The actual hotel (although in places it looked a bit worn out) was very clean and dealt with all of the issues we required apart from maybe the double bed could have been a bit bigger.
Well done.
Hands down one of the best properties I have stayed. The home felt like a home. It’s cosy decorated to a high standard. Please stay here over any hotel when you visit Bournemouth.
The location is great - 10 minute stroll down to the beach and ideal that we could park at the hotel. The staff were really friendly. Our family room had everything we needed.
It's very close to beach and town centre with a variety of shops nearby.. it's's very quiet and a safe location from where you can comfortably discover Bournemouth.
