It’s in a quiet area and despite being not far from the main road, I could hear birds singing in the evening and early morning from my room. Lovely people working here, they run the place which is linked to a charity. Kitchen is fully equipped and there is dry room for your clothes and mountain gear for those wet days.

Betws-y-coed is a really nice place and makes you feel like you really are on holiday. The views are stunning and have a real European feel. The place gets really busy so getting an evening meal can be tricky. Food and drinks are expensive, they are more than London prices. Compared to other places in North wales, Betws-y-coed is head and shoulders above them.

Beautiful scenery and great for walking.
Beautiful scenery and great for walking. Accessed by road and rail, its central location is ideal for visits to Bodnant Gardens and Snowdonia. Relatively easy for keen walkers to reach Fairy Glen and Conwy Falls, as well as Swallow Falls and the Ugly House..
Characterised by substantial stone properties and its riverside location, this is a charming place which can get very busy with hikers and sightseers. It's only a small town, but there are a variety of shops and places to eat - from small cafes to hotel restaurants to suit all pockets, but quality varies. Excellent food is available in the Royal Oak Hotel restaurant.
Golfers are welcome at the flat 9 hole course which has excellent greens and is well maintained.

Small village but very quaint and with plenty of amenities available.
The train station is right in the middle of the village and connects with Llandudno from where many connections are available to England’s major cities. Around the station are restaurants and cafes, and the visitor centre is in walking distance (also with cafe and other shops).
I didn’t use any of the buses but could see a few that take you to other towns, including the ones that are a starting point to hike Snowdon.
From Betws-Y-Coed there are a few very agreeable walks like Fairy Glen, Llyn Elsi, and Swallow Falls, through the forest or along the river.
It’s a lovely place to stay for a few days. Tranquil and relaxing.

So much to do and see within a reasonable drive.
So much to do and see within a reasonable drive. Aswell as Betws-y-coed, we visited Zip World, Anglesey and Llandudno.
Some of the roads were extremely narrow, but we hardly saw any traffic on them.
Lots of lovely shops and cafes in Betws-y, and the views were amazing. We even saw the B&B that we visited 15 years ago was still there!
The property was just outside of the village with a short walk to local restaurants and hotels/pubs. We were able to leave car outside at the property. Gary & Jackie were fantastic hosts and gave us plenty of help with things to do in the area. Also as a bonus, the bus stop for our ride on the S1 bus to Snowdon was 20 yards from the front door. We had a great weekend, the breakfast was awesome too!
Great value hotel in heart of village so I have stayed here several times. I had a discount deal and an upgrade to a better room when I arrived. Pleasant single room with comfortable bed, clean shower room, kettle, coffee etc. Good wifi.
Nice bar and lounge area with decent but limited evening meals on offer and one good real ale. Very good breakfast.
Secure car parking in hotel courtyard
The room and bed was comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the facility. For a hostel, the room had more hotel like facilities with tea and coffee etc. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good with plenty on offer. Its a good start to the day. Also the dining area is spacious
There are some really comfortable chairs which you can relax in after a long day
Great location, 5 mins walk into the village. 5 mins drive to zipworld betws y coed. We were in the area to walk snowdon and it suited our needs with close access to all routes 👍
The place could do with some TLC but the host is amazing running it on her own , so friendly, bed was comfy, room clean and breakfast very good. Price reasonable and would stay again on our next visit.
Anthony and Heather where fantastic hosts, cheerful and helpful they made the stay more enjoyable. The location of the hotel was perfect close to everything with the river and walks only a stones throw away. Betws-y-coed is a bustling holiday place with lots of visitors at peak times. Parking can be difficult during a hoilday rush.
Really friendly staff, really comfy and super dog friendly (loved the additional blanket and little treat for our dog!) Hotel was spotless throughout (despite being dog friendly) and is in a stunning setting. Breakfast was lovely too. Also close to lovely walks, villages and attractions. Really happy with our stay.
A lovely hotel on a large space of land with parking right outside the room. Had a large sitting area and good layout. Also had a small outdoor space to sit at and see the wildlife go by. Good friendly staff. Very close to the village so in easy walking distance to the attractions and hiking trails.
The hotels location is absolutely perfect for exploring the area, it’s quirky cosy feel is very inviting, the food is absolutely OUTSTANDING! The room was perfect for the two of us, we must say we were very impressed by the service of Scott! He literally did not stop! And he was very attentive!
Jeanette and Steve were very friendly, nothing too much trouble, lovely extra little touches. They had helpful knowledge and tips about the area. Food was delicious, healthy, well presented, hot and freshly served. Lovely room, very clean.
They made my holiday extra special.
The location was fabulous for seeing this area. Plenty of free parking on site with a pool and spa. Restaurant food and bar were VERY good and reasonably priced. Daily breakfast was good with a nice selection.
Stayed for 3days .we as a family of 9 staying in three rooms can not fault this hotel .Really friendly staff . Barman who knows how to make cocktails .Great breakfast, lovely seating areas
Located a bit out of Betws-y-coed (5 minutes walk), surrounded by loads of calming green, excellent food to choose from, very friendly service by Alison and Steve. Defo will book again
All the staff we met at the Royal Oak Hotel were extremely friendly and helpful.
Very handy to have access to free parking for the 2 days we were in Betws-y-coed.
Great location, service and staff were great from arrival to check-out. Nice size hotel, good decor and feel to the place. Nice restaurant and outside areas.
In the heart of Betws-y-Coed, easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Can hike into the hills directly from the B&B. Parking available on site.
