Firstly, the location cannot be better than this! A great location surrounded by restaurants, bars, and shops.
The hotel makes you feel like you are in a good place. A lot of attention to small details makes your stay pleasant.
You have complimentary coffee and tea machines in the room, a welcome pastry, and a very friendly and helpful staff...Everything was top-notch!
Breakfast was vibrant and delicious. The fruit they had was very fresh and tasty!

The room is okay. The restaurant in the hotel serves nice food, but it is a bit overpriced. The breakfast is good. The location is really good. You can get a garden/castle view or a river view. The surroundings are perfect for a morning run.
Set in luxuriant gardens, Hotel Templarios offers spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the Nabão River and Mouchão Park. It features a spa and lagoon-style pool with views of Tomar Citadel.

Hotel was right on the center of things to see. Left a day early because it got too crowded. It was a special event that only happens every 4 years. Sunday was just on there about to walk around the streets. Not hotel fault.

Tomar is a very attractive medieval city, seeped in history. The Convento de Christopher towers over the city and well worth a visit. The Central Park is beautiful with its river and trees is a lovely relaxing place. Plenty of restaurants all in walkable distance of each other. Further out of town is a six kilometre aqueduct built in the time of Philip 2nd of Spain. A marvel of medieval engineer.

Tiny small place. Clean bedding.
Tiny small place. Clean bedding. Quiet. 15 minutes walk from center.
I had to call a few times to get a reply where the key is.
Kitchenette, but:
No kettle for tea, no kitchen towel. Onky one mug.
No bath mat. Bath towels with bleach stains.

If you take the trouble to walk around Tomar, especially the old town, it is a fascinating place. It has an interesting square where the locals come out to socialise in the evening. There are a goodly number of restaurants, suitable for all budgets.

Beautiful, historical town with massive Templar Castle up the hill. That alone is worth the side trip form Lisbon or Porto. Many groups buses stop for a day but it is a rushed way to experience this place. I think two nights allows for a better immersion into its history. Castle alone takes few good hours, not counting the outdoor area. Great place to slow down and feel the old energy there. Town has plenty of coffee shops and nice eateries. Picturesque river runs right through the middle of town. Totally walkable town with quaint, clean streets with plenty places along the way to stop for a coffee, ice cream or a tasty bite. If you are there on a weekend you might get a chance to get a picture with a Templar knight!

Do not miss the aqueduct on the outskirts of town as you drive in - I've seen quite a few and the only better is the one in Segovia in Spain. This is a double decker that goes for half a mile, in terrific condition. I'm an aqueduct fan and this was worth a trip to Tomar by itself.
But there's more: the Templar chapel in the monastery at the top of the hill above the Praca Republica is one of those places where, just when you are beginning to feel like you've seen enough church stuff, you go holy smokes! I've never seen anything like this!
The town itself is cozy and warm, and it's worth a walk around to all the different churches and along the river. You can see everything in a day if you don't dawdle.

Nestled amidst the rolling hills of the Portuguese...
Nestled amidst the rolling hills of the Portuguese countryside, Tomar is a captivating town steeped in history and brimming with charm. Renowned for its magnificent Templar Castle and Convent, Tomar offers a captivating blend of medieval enchantment and modern-day allure.
The Castelo de Tomar, or Tomar Castle, stands as a testament to the power and influence of the Knights Templar, who established their stronghold in Tomar in the 12th century. This imposing fortress, adorned with intricate carvings and architectural masterpieces, is home to the Convento de Cristo, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.
The Convento de Cristo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a labyrinth of grand cloisters, chapels, and chapterhouses, each whispering tales of the Knights Templar's influence. The remarkable Cloister of Silence, with its serene atmosphere and intricate tracery, is a must-see for any visitor to Tomar.
The hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of Tomar. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The room was excellent and the beds and pillows very comfortable,
The breakfast was excellent. The staff were all amazing and helpful. We also love the rooftop lounge area with a fully stocked 'Honesty Bar' We have already booked a second stay when we return to Tomar later on in the year.
We have travelled extensively over our lifetime, and can honestly say that this was in the top 10 hotels we have stayed at.
We can not fault it
Absolutly fantastic apartment with 2 great outdoor spaces that recieve full sun. Furniture, cooking equipment, and appliances were very good quality and the welcome package and cooking staples were top quality and extensive. Our hosts, John & Dani, made check in easy and were right there for us if we needed them, which we didn't because everything went smoothly. The laundry service was a great addition and the location of the apartment is great for walking, or driving, into Tomar.
The Thomar Boutique Hotel is nicely located at the edge of the old town. You can easily walk to all the points of interest in Tomar. The room was spacious, immaculate, and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was beyond my expectations. There was an actual bathtub in addition to the shower. I took a long and relaxing bath. There is also a deck on the second floor with a wonderful view of the Convento do Cristo. There is free public parking nearby. It was a wonderful experience.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. We arrived on motorbikes very early for check in and the hotel were so accommodating until our rooms were ready. Rooms are beautiful. Pool area is perfect in the heat. Lots of shade.
Tomar is lovely. Go visit the castle up the hill. You are not allowed into the castle grounds but the monastery next door is amazing.
Go check out the medieval restaurant but make sure to book. It gets very busy.
Everything. This hotel is a hidden gem in the lovely city of Tomar. Thelma was extremely kind and helpful for our much too short stay. The room was exceptional, the pool and rooftop very comfortable and the connected restaurant (Belpaço) was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Pet friendly. All rooms and fixtures were like new. Views of the city and castle are exceptional.
This is the best bargain in Tomar. it’s a wonderful location just a short walk to the historic part of town. a free breakfast is included. The walk in shower has the best water pressure of any hotel I’ve ever been in.
i can’t recommend it highly enough. nearby restaurants and outdoor cafes….a spectacular public market on Friday and Saturday…just a five minute walk away.
magical place
Excelent Hotel. One of the best boutique hotel I have ever stayed in.
Perfect location for Tomar, also suitable for traveling in the area.
Very clean, very godd a, clean and comfort rooms.
Staff is highly responsive, special thanks to Karine and Tanya that treated us perfectly.
The Restaurnt is nice and the food is great.
Clean, super close to all the sights in Tomar, and extremely comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was responsive to all messages previous to stay and was very toddler friendly—provided comfortable crib, had high chair at breakfast, etc. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in! We regret not staying longer.
Spaceous room with a balcony, close to the city center, nice people as everywhere in Portugal, interesting seasonal fruits for breakfast. Very clean. Free public parking around, however it's tight, not easy to find a place. It's quite a good place to stay for one night if you are planning to go there just for a sleep.
The house has a lot of history and was the residency for the nobility of Portugal.
I stayed in the apartment which was a very generous size. The property in in the centre of town and near to restraunts and cafe Also nearby to the square and castle. Wish I had time to explore fully but will revisit.
Super thoughtfully designed place, efficient and inviting details and appliances everywhere. Very spacious for two people. The most comfortable mattress we've slept on in Portugal as well! Very friendly and responsive staff. Excellent location, walkable to everything.
we liked everything about the property
specially the staff . Mr Luis is so very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay the best in Tomar.
we would recommend this hotel to our family and friends without hesitation
we will return
We LOVED this place! It was perfect. Beautiful apartment in a central location. Comfortable, spacious and every detail was considered. We only stayed one night but if we return to Portugal, we’ll stay here as a base to explore the wider region.
Great hotel, wonderful staff, tasty breakfast. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy. The location is nice - very close to the old town and castle/church. I recommend this place for one's stay in Tomar.
Excellent location with very helpful staff. Restaurant owned by the same people is next door and was one of the best meals we had in Portugal in 2 weeks. Swimming pool was very welcome at end of long day.
Without doubt the best thing is the amazingly comfortable bed I had, a rare find in Portugal!! The host couldn't have been more kind and helpful and the location was perfect.
Very professionnel staff. Charming hôtel at the best spot in Tomar.
Restaurant excellent quality(dîner and lunch)
Room was perfect, quiet and clean.
Will come back.
