Boasting a bar, Beachhotel Cape Helius is set in Hellevoetsluis in the Zuid-Holland region, 300 metres from Hellevoetsluis Beach and 31 km from Ahoy Rotterdam.
Was a cool historic hotel. Loved the town. Hotel staff were friendly. Only thing I would recommend is that if you can't do stairs, that you request a ground floor room. We were fine with doing the stairs ourselves. The hotel can't put in an elevator due to its historic designation. :) Nevertheless I would stay there again

That Brielle is a fortress from the 15 centure and fully surrounded with a dike and water is very special. Also the old tow with narrow streets and the old 19 centure buildings is unique . Brielle is worth a visit

Very quiet area - although this may change in the summer months
Very picturesque set around Brielle Mere
Good bus access to metro for Rotterdam and surrounding areas
Taxi's expensive and be very careful that they understand where your hotel is - ie Brielle and not in Rotterdam as there are similar named hotels in Rotterdam

We were in Brielle specifically for the annual Blues Festival and as always it was great fun. This hotel is next to one of the stages but the music stops around 10pm, so is not a hindrance to a good nights sleep. The town itself is full of history and great to wander round the old and new areas and especially along the old fortifications etc. that surround the old town. Loved the main church which played a variety of music on the tower bells, including some '90's pop! The whole town seems friendly and it is easy to make friends here - just start up a conversation and see where it leads...
Our stay here was one of the highlights of a memorable trip. Brielle is an undiscovered gem outside The Netherlands and Poorter Hotel a winner in every respect! It is perfectly located in beautifully restored buildings in the pedestrianised main street. The interior decoration is of a very high standard and the romantic attic bedroom was very well appointed. Many thanks to the check in lady, who carried my carry-on suitcase upstairs!
My room was spacious and at the back of the Hotel so it was much quieter than my colleagues on the other side.
If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back of the Hotel!
The receptionist was very accommodating and made every effort to make our stay smooth and relaxed, Thank you! The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in, in a hotel ever! Bliss!!
The food in the bar is better than the menu suggests :)
The Poorter Boutique Hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It is in the oldest building in Brielle and set on a quiet, quaint street. The rooms are tastefully updated and very modern. The service is impeccable. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. The town of Brielle was also a delightful surprise. I wish we had planned a longer visit.
Super, super nice hosts! Location in the old Town. Apartament is in old house, on levels😁. Quiet, clean and comfortable. We had a stylish bathtube in our bedroom. Welcome wine on the table. I can recommend this place if someone wants to see Brielle, Rotterdam or Hague, close enough.
Good hotel overall.
The staff is professional and nice and the hotel has a old time feeling.
After our stay in the economy room we switched rooms to a standard room. This room was indeed neat, clean and what i expected in the price-range.
I needed to join a vessel early in the morning at the maasvlakte and therefore chose this hotel. I had been here before and liked it. The room was spacious, air conditioning working well and I loved to find a coffeemaker in the room.
The hotel is centrally located on a pedestrian street. The staff was informative about the city and even helped carry our luggage to our third floor room. The room was small but adequate for our needs.
Right in the middle of Brielle so location perfect. The rooms are typical for the area - quaint, small and with steep stairs, but that’s to be expected. Good buffet breakfast and staff very friendly.
Affordable hotel which is relatively close to the beach, and in a nice city. Simple room with good climate control and basic facilities. Breakfast is simple, but fine to start the day with
Great location in the middle of Brielle, super handy for working at Europoort. The room was well appointed with a number of really nice personal touches that made the stay enjoyable.
Location, staff, breakfast are all very good. I personally love the quaintness of the hotel, but some would call it dated I guess. But to me that's the charm of it.
the lady on reception was probally the most polite and helpful person you could ever meet and also the hotel was very clean and warm will definalty go again
