Well located, easy to get to by car and within easy walking distance of the town centre. The room was a little old fashioned but comfortable enough. The real highlight though was the courtyard and restaurant. The courtyard was a delightful space in which to enjoy a pre dinner drink and then dinner. The restaurant was excellent. The staff were first class and generally spoke excellent English.

The breakfast was really nice. The hotel is in the middle of the town, easy to get around. The restaurant were fully booked on Saturday evening, but the staff managed to book us in, that was really good! The guy who worked on Sunday when we were checking was really nice. He was very helpful and spoke good English!
We had a really nice and big room. Nice and newly renovated bathrooms!

It is a lovely small town. Easy to walk around and see the sights. Lots of restaurants and cafes, it is advisable to make reservations for dinner.
Not sure how good you can communicate in English (we are Germans). There are plenty of things to do around the area, especially if you like walking.

Quedlinburg is a beautiful market town with a multitude of cobbled lanes, fachwerk/half-timbered houses as well as a huge choise of cafes, restaurants and shops. The Schloss and the market square appear to be the two focal points of the town but there is plenty to see if you explore the quieter lanes away from the tourist centre.
One thing to be aware of - the town is not the best for wheelchair and disabled access due to the cobbled streets and lanes.

There isn't much to do, see or eat during evening unless you happen to be in the very center. For this visit I was not.
City itself has a really pleasant and historic look to it, view from the castle is also good.
This city is served by the Harzer Schmalspurbahn.
Would not rely on public transportation to get to or from this city.

A beautiful and historic town with a wealth of sites to visit - castle, churches, museums and just wandering about the old town. I was only there for 24 hours and would have loved to stay longer.
If you are only there for a brief visit, do check in advance that any particular things you want to see are open; some were closed when I was there on a Monday. But I still didn't feel short changed.

Very nice historical city with a lot of interesting houses, buildings. Good place for looooong walking (on a day we did 25 km!). The surrounding villages and towns are worth for a sightseeing, too. If you are there, try Quedlinburger, the pork version - very good. Go to the brewery for a fresh taste of beer (without filter) and eat a leg of a pork: 1 portion is more than enough for 2 persons. We are planning to come back...
On arrival, the beautiful ground floor creates quite an impact. Reception opens into a lovely room with an impressive looking open fire surrounded by large kelim floor cushions, making the space look particularly welcoming, and there is even a piano in the corner.
Rooms were comfortable but the restaurant was truly excellent and breakfast was pretty good, too. It is easy to walk into the historic centre of Quedlinburg - what an amazing place!
This is a wonderful place to stay and Quedlinburg is a delightful city. There was a woman selling fresh strawberries, cherries and asparagus just outside the door, which were delicious! Easy walking distance to everything. Sadly the Abbess’s Schloss is currently closed for renovations but you can still visit the Abbey Church. Highly recommend the Audio guide town tour in English if you aren’t fluent in German ( available at tourist office).
A charming and individual hotel in a historic building in the centre of the historic town. The age of the building meant that there were uneven floors and creaky floorboards. but for me this just added to the charm. All the important facilities were modern and functional, including a well-equipped bathroom and a comfortable bed. A good breakfast, excellent restaurant dinner and friendly staff helped to complete an excellent stay.
The property and room was clean and the room was very cute and comfortable. It’s situated extremely central, right on the market square. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had a good selection of food. The staff were all very caring and were all very positive. Note: we spoke german with them so our experience might differ from yours.
We’ll definitely stay there again if we return to Quedlinburg.
The hotel is very easy to get to and has an onsite, cheap parking, with loads of space. It is 5 minutes away from the main market so location is perfect. The room was spacious and very comfy so no issues there. The breakfast was spectacular, I couldn't believe a small hotel offers such a huge breakie. Hotel is a little expensive but definitely offers good price for money.
The location is perfect, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room was really small, but very cozy. The hotel and the room have a charming "fachwerk" style. The room was clean and the aircondition was working nicely. The breakfast is very good and you can sit outside on the sun if the weather is nice. There is parking close which is very convenient.
This was amazingly a high end hotel at a low end rate. This may have something to do with Quedlinburg is not a hot destination, and the town most certainly had signs of neglect from the days of the Soviet occupation. The breakfast was of the good German buffet type. We did not eat in the restaurant but the menu was short, inexpensive and attractive.
We had a wonderful time in Quedlinburg and I am so happy that we have chosen Zum Mathildenbrunnen. The apartment is so spacious with two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. It is newly renovated, has every equipment that might be needed, is spotless clean and also close to the center. We could not have asked for more.
Very cosy and comfortable flat. In central Quedlinburg but on a quiet side street. Beds were comfy. Minibar prices were very reasonable. Communication with the host worked well and the keybox allowed us to check in at our leisure. Quedlinburg is a really pretty little town to spend a couple of days in.
Staff were incredibly nice.
The schloss room was beautiful and comfortable.
Had a great sleep here.
Breakfast plentiful and varied in a nice dining room.
The hotel newsletter with weather forecast at breakfast was a nice touch.
Very tasteful and relaxing decor in the room and public areas.
This apartment was such a wonderful find and made our stay in Quedlinburg truly unforgettable! The location is perfect and the apartment was incredibly spacious and comfortable with plenty of natural light. The family is so lovely and accommodating - we'd love to stay here again!
location is perfect, you will not find a better located hotel. The hotel is amazing and clean.
the family rooms are in the 4th floor, so it was hard with the kids, but the view from the rooms was wow. I still don’t know if it was worth it.
Great staff, big rooms, free parking. Fair breakfast buffet for a small-town hotel. Quaint surroundings (in practice NOT Quedlinburg), good opportunities for nature walks and visiting ruins.
Perfect location in the middle of Quedlinburg. Beautiful little house, oozed in historic details, ideal for a weekend. Steep stairs, so maybe less suitable for elderly and small children
The Gruber's renovated a 16th century timber frame house in the center of Quedlinburg. Their work is exquisite. The Gruber's were gracious and accommodating...amazing hosts.
Comfortable space, lovely town, great location! Would stay there again. Also would definitely recommend the restaurant of the hotel a few meters down the street!
