I could have spent all day at the Palace and another exploring the array of very high quality shops in the lovely winding streets. The cathedral is worth a visit for those interested in architecture, history, etc. or who just appreciate the remarkable efforts humans put into their religious monuments. It is an active religious site, so proper dress and respectful behavior are requested. A stroll along the canal was very pleasant. I did not have enough time to do any of it justice. I walked everywhere. Ask hotel staff which way to go to the palace: GPS doesn't know there is only one entrance and will take you to the outside wall only, FAR from the entrance.

Perpignan is a lively place, cleaner and neater than some other southern French cities. The historical sites are not particularly thrilling, but it's pleasant to wander around the old town and there is always something going on - the annual festival of photojournalism while we were there. The beach resorts of Canet and Sainte-Marie are within easy reach.
Recommended excursions: Céret, Collioure (each a cheap 40-min bus ride away if you can figure out the eccentric timetable) + the Red Train along the Fenouillèdes valley west of Perpignan - with very knowledgeable guides! Details from Tourist Office

Like many visitors to the town, we were drawn to the town by the chance to watch the Catalans Dragons rugby league club play at Stade Gilbert Brutus. However, there is so much more that the town has to offer travellers.
The town centre is crammed with beautiful architecture, quirky shops, bars and cafes and lots of history. Meanwhile, for just a euro you can catch a forty minute bus down to the coast (we chose Collioure). A brilliant trip whether visiting with family or friends. We will definitely be back soon.

Historical castle with old town.
Historical castle with old town. Quiet provincial French town with an interesting looking medieval heart that is undergoing restoration.
We walked around Perpignan, well signposted. The locals are friendly and helpful. We ate at a restaurant close to the train station the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The Pizza place close to town was a bit more expensive but food was tasty and staff helpful. The dinner at The Steakhouse was food but quite expensive again the staff were helpful and friendly.
Professional and high quality service. Staff very friendly. Great breakfast, not mass produced. Delicious 6 course meal on the bank holiday. Beautiful grounds, well kept. Bed comfortable. Free glass of champagne on my last evening. Peaceful and unobtrusive piano music playing in the bar area.Very peaceful, such a great place to unwind.
Bus stop not too far away. Only one euro by bus from Perpignan to Villefrenche de Conflent or Collioure. Overall one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
The cottage is well-equipped, spacious and quiet and in a very convenient location to reach the centre of Perpignan on foot and also for public transport. Sebastian was really helpful and gave us useful tips for our stay, e.g. recommendations for beaches and other attractions to visit and how to get there. Perpignan is a great city and we also enjoyed exploring the coast and discovering 'le pays catalan'.
I booked last minute because I was not intending to stay in Perpignan. I am glad I did because staying at Dali hotel Perpignan felt like a reset from my busy life in Barcelona. The bed was comfy and the rainshower relaxing. Also the location is perfect, central and in front of a beautiful parc. The rooftop and garden are also nice. And the late check out at 12 was great. No rush to get out of the hotel.
The building is located in a very quiet neighbourhood, 5-8 minutes walk from the center of Perpignan. The people around are very helphul and we were very satisfied staying there. The apartment is large, spacious, very clean and comfty, and includes all the needed facilities and amenities It is decorated in a modern fashion and you feel well being inside and enjoying its atmosphere.
Very nice cozy apartment, well located in the heart of Perpignan, has everything you need for a few days, very complete kitchenette, every appliance updated and super clean, spent 4 days very relax, quiet area and a super comfortable bed, hassle free check-in and out, and a nice host with always prompt responses, thank you for a pleasant stay, without a doubt saved in my favorites
We arrived early to this lovely apartment in the old town of Perpignan. We were met outside by the owner following a phone call and she gladly let us leave our luggage until the room was ready. The entrance hall looks unpromising but on climbing the stairs there was a lovely double apartment with all the comforts you would expect. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
We stayed during our tour of southern France, July 2023, and I have to say what a lovely hotel with a great pool and local restaurant's in particular the Indian which is 8 minutes away, the staff were amazing and so helpful, we will visit again in the future, clean rooms, safe parking and fantastic value, highly recommend, Mr k hanna, birmingham, England.
I arrived extremely late into Perpignan (3am) due to a bus fiasco. Being a woman travelling alone this was rather stressful. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and ensure a 24hr check-in so was was assured of being able to get to my much needed room and plus with a warm caring welcome. It was really appreciated not to have felt alone!
A hotel full of French character, situated in an excellent location. The beds were so comfy and the hosts made us feel so welcome. I've been travelling around the South of France and the night that we stayed here was the best nights sleep we had! Our room had a huge bathroom and a large outside area. The breakfast was great too.
It's beautiful. The rooms are large and well appointed, though if you want a lot of drawer space, you'll be disappointed. The grounds are spectacular. And the host (Lionel) could not be nicer (or more handsome). Close to everything in Perpignan but in a vineyard and very quiet.
Great location in Perpignan between the railway station and old city centre. Receptionist was really helpful and advised us on places to see in Perpignan including an amazing building that was free. Breakfast was good continental range with nice pastries
The hotel is close to the train station, but also to some excellent restaurants outside the historic centre. Audrey was extremely friendly and very helpful with suggestions about places to visit and to eat. The room had a lovely terrace.
Very friendly and helpful owners/staff
The breakfast was excellent
