We spent one night on our route through France. It was a good stay, although the hotel has no special thrills - it was a bit worn out. Still, everything seemed well-maintained and working fine. The owners are very friendly. The breakfast was fine and even was more varied than a typical "petit dejeuner" in hotels of this class.

The breakfast was excellent. Everything was fresh with a great variety of breads and pastries, meats and cheeses, juices, yogurt and even dried fruits and nuts, and bacon and eggs scrambled or boiled. Coffee was very good,
The sweet lady that oversees the service is very solicitous and helpful.

Blois beautifully lines the Loire Valley with a sublime combination of nature and architecture. Standing between Orléans and Tours, two other Loire Valley gems, Blois - the most important city of Loir-et-Cher -enjoys its proximity to the agricultural Beauce area and Sologne forest.
Slate tiles and tuffeau stones, a pattern reminiscent of the Loire Valley, are prominent in Blois and the old town is full of charming houses. Blois train station is near the Gothic Renaissance Castle of Blois, considered one of architecture’s masterpieces. Originally occupied by King Louis XII, it is nowadays partly taken over by the Museum of Art, offering a collection of paintings, sculptures and ancient tapestries. The royal gardens also evoke the Renaissance and provide a lovely view of the city. Other gardens invite you to enjoy the magical scenery by the Loire river.
Walk 2 minutes more towards the commercial street to discover the House of Magic, a unique example in Europe of its genre. Take some time and walk along the Loire, where the historic Jacques Gabriel Bridge, built in the 18th century, links the two banks of the city. Follow this route to discover the magnificent Castle of Cheverny and the not-to-be-missed Castle of Chambord.
For your convenience, Booking.com offers a large range of accommodation including city centre hotels with parking and cheap apartments.

The township of Blois is gorgeous, the accommodation was clean and roomy, quiet and a short walk to all amenities. The area as a whole is gorgeous. The car park is confusing and a little distant. It also makes you feel welcome if a few extras are provided however this accommodation was sparse. Some places offer a little extra such as oil, salt and pepper, enough toilet paper for your stay which makes the difference. On the whole a lovely place to stay.

A historic and friendly town close to many of the most visited chateaux on the Loire. The town has its own chateau, which is well worth a visit as it is so well presented. Of note was the quality of information in English there. We also visited the Maison de la Magie, which was amusing, but I wouldn't rush back. There are lots of old streets to explore and plenty of places to eat and drink. If you're going by car, research about parking first. We kept our car at the Halle du Grains, which was a hike from the Hotel, but good value and we got used to the commute.

The views of the city from the left bank were beautiful.Despite the heat we enjoyed visiting the Chateau and the old town and it was all within walking distance. We visited a vibrant outside bar in the park on the left bank and had a superb meal at a restaurant called Le Creusille .The setting of the restaurant is in an atmospheric old courtyard ,the service and food was outstanding.

For us two points, 1] restaurant; breakfast superb, evening meal very nice and tasty but a bit limited on the choice...2]pool was fine but for myself - mobility reduced and wife new artificial knee the pool was not accessible as the 'ladder' to enter the water had very small steps and was vertical, with a wider step depth and a ladder at an angle (maybe like \ and not I ) we both could have used pool and hot tub. The sauna was fine !

Historically interesting with a great deal of impressive architecture. Easy to walk around although cobbled streets as in many old places in France are hard on the feet! Eating places expensive but authentic and with good atmospheres and friendly people. In all a very attractive small city to visit.
My recent stay at this hotel was really nice, as everything about it is great. It is located in wonderful spot - just next to the Chateau de Blois, so it makes it the perfect base for exploring the town and enjoying the visit to the main attraction.
The interior of the hotel is clearly made with an attention to details, with each room decorated in a stylized manner. It's evident that a lot of thought had gone into designing each space. Finally, the hospitality of the hotel's owners makes the stay even better. Great place to stay!
This was a poperty, managed at arms length by a family, but not difficult to locate or enter. The unit was quite self-continaed and pleasant with a little courtyard right out the back door of the bedroom that was a pleasant reading area early in the morning or end of the day. Sights were very accesible with restuarants and enjoyable pedestrian-friendly walking areas in the cetnre of Blois. Would recommend this unit to anyone. Was happy to see that landlords were receptive for suggestions for improvement as well.
This recently renovated, stylish small apartment is located in a very old building with a narrow winding staircase, 10 min walk over the bridge to the old town centre. The windows in the living room deliver a marvellous view across the river onto the old town of Blois, both day and night, surrealistic in still morning because of reflection in the water. The bathroom and the shower is really good. One could not arrange the apartment better in a very old building.
The spacious apartment is a jewel in every regard. Exceptional location with open panoramic views on the Loire and Blois' harmonious skyline of pointed blue roofs. Every detail has been thought of for comfort and good sleep. Nadia is an exceptional host. Location cannot be best, walking distance to castle and old town, restaurants and cafes and yet quiet and practical to exit town easily to reach the beautiful Loire castles.
The hotel is a very nice small hotel with a great location. You can walk to the old town of Blois very easily. It is also very close to the train station.
The room and bed were very comfortable. The room is not large, but it was adequate. It was also nice and quiet.
The breakfast was very good with fresh bread, croissants, yoghurt, cereals, and fruit.
Nice location right on the river and a gentle walk into the interesting town. The reception and restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful, switching to English and coped with my terrible French when I said I thought that in France we should speak French.
Breakfasts very good and the two evening meals we had there were also good.
We chose the hotel mainly because of location, it’s close to the center and has massive parking nearby. If you have a car, better to use a free (in the nights) public car park right next to the hotel.
Junior staff - working students was really nice and helpful! Our kids also liked the arcade games in the lobby
This is a gorgeous little studio with everything you need for your stay. It is right in the centre of town, in an old building whose walls make you feel like you have your own castle in Blois! It's small but well equipped and comfortable. It's not fancy but it's really good value and was perfect for us.
It was in a great location to see Blois and the rest of the Loire valley. Could walk to the chateau and interesting parts of town. Easy and quick drive out of town to see other areas. Parking wasn’t a problem. Great boulangerie across the street. Very friendly host. Coffee provided for the morning.
This was the third time had stayed here , using it as a one night stop over before heading to southern France. The hotel is basic but clean, with an easy check in and a nice restaurant located next door. The parking is good, being fenced all around and locked up at night.
The location is right in the historic center of Blois. There is a parking place for your car (there are 3 parking places in the backyard - your is the first on the right and it is pretty tight. There is a video game in one of the bedrooms, which is lots of fun.
the room was beautiful and very clean and well furnished. The house sits atop of city with great views. Bring your walking shoes. Breakfast was good. The recommendation to restaurant was one of the best we had while in France L’Orange.
The hotel is an old hotel restyled as an IBIS hotel, so while the common areas have a certain charme the rooms are typical IBIS style. However, it is ideally located in Blois city centre and it has a good ratio quality/price.
The quality - price ratio of the hotel is very good.
We had a very nice room
The breakfast was very good.
The location is fine, near the railway station and the castle. Not very far from the town centre.
A beautiful house, right in the centre of Blois, very peaceful and calm. A real touch of elegance, lovely bedroom, very modern bathroom.Delicious breakfast. Hosts were very friendly and professional.
It's a beautiful quiet place with a lovely French breakfast and very kind hosts. The room size is quite large for France and it is beautifully decorated.
