Gin Gin is a cute little town west of Bundaberg (about 45 minutes). There are quite a few shops along the main road to wander through, highlight is The Crystal Shaman. The IGA is well stocked and has everything you need. Everything in town is very easy to navigate and is mostly within walking distance. We felt very safe here, even at night. We travelled over to Bundaberg, stopping at the Mystery Craters - well worth a stop for a minimal fee you get to see this unusual natural formation and the staff given you a personal briefing on the Mystery Craters. A stop at Tinaberries strawberry farm is a MUST - as is their ice cream and play some yard games.

Very convenient location in the middle of town so it was close to everything. The pub below the hotel was amazing!! Food was incredible, defs recommend the parmi :) Only issue was other loud tenants from the pub later in the night but everything else was great. Facilities were very clean considering they are shared and the kitchen was very handy.

Whilst I was here for work, the town is pleasant with good gardens and a central median strip gardens section with kids playgrounds, an excellent modern library and rec centre, good shopping, one of the best second hand bookshops you'll find anywhere, and a number of decent food options at various pubs, apart from at motels, and a terrific bakery.

Had an excellent breakfast at The Starburst Diner along the road from the motel next to the petrol station. We were there for a birthday get together a bit out of town so didn't really get to see much of Gin Gin itself.

We sayed in Gin Gin for one night on our way home from a NQ holiday. It was the perfect halfway stopover. We stayed at the Gin Gin Country Comfort. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. We ate out the Gin Gin Hotel. The food was quick and delicious. The drinks cold. All you could ask for.

We just stopped for 1 night on our way from Mackay to Brisbane. Friends laughed at us when we said we were going to stop in GinGin but we didn't want to leave the highway for larger cities as it would add to the length of our trip. Well the laugh is on them we found a lovely motel "The GinGin Village Motor Inn" was clean, modern and very comfortable beds. The IGA is new and large with everything you need and next to motel. The Gin Gin Hotel was doing takeaway only food. We had 2 burgers, barra and regular and they were fresh and delicious.
