This is a a lovely authentic hotel, very genuine and very Greek. It was peaceful and the staff were lovely and super helpful. For a small family hotel the pool was excellent and religiously cleaned to a high standard every morning by the Ken from South Shields! I would highly recommend this hotel as a base and plenty of restaurants in walking distances and the beach is only 5 mins from the hotel.

I was on a climbing holiday and it was much more peaceful than Masouri, if that is what you like. Meeting friends in Masouri in the evening was awkward because of travel and drink driving. However, I did drink less as a result and probably felt better.JOHN - 6.0Scored 6.0

good restaurants, good bus service, helpful people, close to beach, good walking area. superb scenery, good centre for visiting other areas of the island. Panormos is sometimes spoilt by noisy motorbikes/ scooters in early hours and of course the area suffers from exaust pollution. The area is renowned for climbers, if that is your choice, swimming is safe in main beaches on the island. Kantouni Beach is the Panormos town beach.
Kantouni Beach is the Panormos town beach. It is peopled but never crowded. Families from France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, the UK, etc. return there each year. The sand is dark because it's of volcanic origin, and steady wind and waves stir up the bottom so the water is not as clear as at other beaches. There is a municipal bus that goes directly from Kalymnos harbor to Kantouni Beach. It's slow and usually late but it's cheap. There are taxis as well.

The staff was excellent and very helpful. The rooms are amazing and the food is probably the best on the island. This hotel really elevated the islands charm.
