The village has one pub but otherwise does not have a lot to offer. However there are some very good country walks and it is idealy located for getting around Constable country and visiting Colchester and Lavenham.
Very nice location with lovely views. Hotel very spacious and clean. showers in peake spa are excellent.
The lakes restaurant was amazing. Lovely food and the service was splendid from the plentiful and youthful staff.
The sports bar has excellent TVs and a good fast food menu.
The junior suite we stayed in was a very nice size with a bath and lovely views.
a lovely hotel with fantastic friendly staff and chefs
Great location. Staff very obliging and cheerful. Food was very good. Plenty of good quality comfortable chairs in the Bar area, as well as other quieter areas of the hotel. A bonus if one is reading! The Head Waiter was outstanding, and the Dining Room very well organised and running like clockwork when he was present. Everywhere particularly clean & tidy. The room we were in was well equipped and well maintained.
Ideal countryside location & peaceful setting overlooking the golf course. Staff were very friendly and lunch served in the bar was excellent.
Dinner in the restaurant was very good, although the a la carte menu was limited & food could have been a bit warmer.
For a group of friends who are staying, the hotel can accommodate 3 adults in one room, with normal sized beds, making the stay excellent value for money.
The food in the Lake restaurant was immaculate, with incredible staff who were so attentive and lovely & made the dinner experience unforgettable.
The hotel is based on beautiful grounds, of which we were able to absorb after taking a walk around the golf course. The view from our room was beautiful (Tamara suite).
I thought our stay was a bit over priced. I found the hotel room to be a little dated and corridors looked a little tired and in need of repair. The breakfast standard did not reflect the price of the stay. It was very basic. I liked the pool area and the back massage I had. Staff were friendly.
The hotel is clean. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The sauna, steam room. jacuzzi and pool were perfect for some much needed relaxation.
The staff were very friendly on arrival, the hotel was nice, clean & comfortable. It had some good facilities. It was also nice to be in the countryside.
