My review is about the Mission Beach/Tully area in general, not specifically South Mission.. Great area for walking, relaxing, swimming at beach (Garner's for me) and freshwater at Alligator's nest near Tully (about 30 mins drive) plus Dining if you wish as plenty of choice.. I chose to cook myself mainly but had some great Thai food from Wongaling and good coffee at Mission Beach.. For the more adventurous there is plenty on offer from kayaking and white water rafting through the Tully river and gorge, paragliding, diving & snorkelling ,fishing, boating, etc..Cathy KoukouAustralia - 10Scored 10

South Mission Beach has what you need for a trip away from home. Short drive to Woolies, BWS bottle shop. Mission Beach 10 mins away has a Tavern, cafes, general store which has cash out if you buy. Markets monthly right on the beach, a must do when in the area.RoselinAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Beach was close with a designated swim area patrolled. Went to Mission beach for dinner at the Tavern, good meals. Snack bar has a good range of products and meals listing looked good, however, only bought Ice Cream and chips on this occasion. Would have been better had the weather been dry. Unfortunately it rained while we were there.

South Mission and the Mission Beach region is a very...
South Mission and the Mission Beach region is a very beautiful part of the world. South Mission is very quiet and relaxed. We were there looking at the prospect of retiring somewhere north of Townsville and this certainly ticks all the boxes for me. There are eateries and restaurants in Mission and it is only 10 minutes away. The views from the beach and anywhere elevated are the best in the region. Mission Beach for Backpackers and young tourists, South Mission for the slightly older and the families I think.

Loved it.
Loved it. Wongaling Beach was a bit short of dining out options but South Mission had plenty of options. Woolworths close although it's shopping hours are country style (shorter than we are used to).

South Mission Beach is the pick of all 3 village's. It's a real get away from it all experience. Fantastic boardwalk down near the boat ramp and the Hull River on the other side. Perfection 👌KKAMBOOLAAustralia

They told us what we needed to know and then left us alone to enjoy our time. The place itself is really nice. It is clean and is a good amount of living space for a couple. Very comfortable bed and pillows and well appointed kitchen with most of what you need. Also washing machine and barbeque available which is nice. Wonderful views from where the house is and very close to south mission beach. The woolworths is only a 5minute drive away.

There is plenty of space in each bedroom and an air conditioner in each. Perfect for the tropical December weather! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely consider coming back. It's very close to the beach and has a lovely little pool. It is only a short drive to the supermarket and into Mission Beach where you find a few lovely little restaurants. A great spot for a relaxing holiday!
