We were very excited to come to this place, especially because sleeping in a yurt in a middle of a rainforest doesn’t happen every day for us. The view behind it was amazing in the morning and the surrounding rainforest was mesmerizing. There are fans installed inside instead of AC to keep cool during the night. Whereas the tent and a three-person room along with bathrooms has seen better days and were a bit unkempt, it was still quite lovely and quaint. There was a very friendly dog that greeted us when we arrived.

I loved the beach and the swimming pool areas and bars. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and we had a great view of the ocean. The food was really good, in particular, the breakfast was fantastic.
Make sure to request a tour to the rain forest ahead of time. We used to just drive to it, but now you need to reserve or go with a tour.

GREAT RESORT HOWEVER IF YOU TRAVEL WITH KIDS I RECOMMEND YOU STOCK UP ON BEVERAGES AND SNACKS FROM THE LOCAL STORES BECAUSE THE SNACK OPTIONS ARE NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY AND THEY ARE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ESPECIALLY THE JUICE AND SODA .

Our stay was great and we had access to the beach, hotel restaurants and
it is was easy to go around Rio Grande and other near towns. The down part was the weather due to Tropical Storm Laura but we felt safe and didn't cancel. Our host was making sure we were ok besides Ocean Villas has water reserves and emergency power generators. That is why it's our favorite place.

If you are just looking for a beach vacation, there are hundreds of better priced resorts with equally nice facilities. If you want to visit El Yunque, it’s the perfect location. Also a great spot for golfers as there are two PGA class courses on the property.

The apartment is It’s cozy and comfortable, you feel like you’re at home.
Excellent location: located in a quiet area, in the town of Rio Grande, with easy access to the areas of interest of the Island. The vehicle is indispensable; PR does not have a public transport system.
Note: The nearest beaches are:
—Rio Grande Beach: 3 miles (8 minutes, by car)
—Coco Beach area, Rio Grande: 4.6 miles
—Balneario de Luquillo: 7.5 miles
—Seven Seas, Fajardo: 17 miles
—Carolina Public Beach, Isla Verde: 17 miles
The location is amazing and close to seemingly everything, including el yunque and the beach! Eventhough everything is close you should really make sure to have a rental car. Everything was clean and the apartment came equipped with lots of basics like sunscreen, bug spray, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, etc. I would recommend the Rico pan bakery just down the street for breakfast. Very affordable, healthy, and good serving size. Was a great stay, if I ever return to Rio Grande, I will once again stay here!
The use of Hyatt pool/beach is a great amenity. Had so much room in the condo, but then the amenities of the hotel - restaurants, pool, paddle boarding, kayaks, etc. Very safe area. Beautiful views and beaches. Plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful balconies. Pool at residences is quiet and clean so it is a great option if you don’t want to walk to hotel. Country club has nice fitness center and we were also able to use Hyatt fitness center during the day. Golf at a discounted rate too!
Love everything! For someone who loves forest, there is so much green and birds and nature. Shuttle service is so convenient and all restaurants offer unexpectedly yummy food. Every staff is incredibly friendly, not the fake kind, but try their best to help. Havnt enjoyed a hotel stay this much after leaving Thailand. Reminds me of the colonial style Amangalla in Sri Lanka.
Absolutely stunning hotel. You will not find another place like this. It’s a mix between Hawaii and Costa Rica. You will be relaxed and take in beautiful views. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The daily coffee service is a great touch and breakfast was amazing. There is a yoga room and a pool that is bookable by the hour so that it can be private for just you.
Loved the location, a short drive to rio grande and Luqillo beach. The apartment was very nice, had pretty much anything you needed such as dishes and cookware, boogie boards and beach chairs, coolers. The pool is right outside of the patio door, and the BEAUTIFUL private beach access right beyond the pool, maybe a 2 minute walk.
Very rustic setting. Definitely not a hotel. But the double room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and had great views. Be prepared for chickens and cats everywhere, potentially no A/C and cold showers. But as a holistic experience, it has refreshing outside-the-box hippie vibes.
Very spacious and well maintained. Marta kept thorough communication and made sure we were safe and comfortable during our stay. Plenty of towels. Located along beautiful golf course and rainforest view. Short driving distance to Rio Mar Wyndham hotel and beach.
Loved the location, laid back attitude, nice and clean room, perfect views. Do not expect regular hotel experience, it is closer to the nature, loved that too.
This is such a unique and pretty place! Hospitality was top-notch. If you’re looking for a place to stay near El Yunque, I highly recommend this property!
