Bluff is a small community with an elementary school, convenience store/gas station, one restaurant, and several places to stay. The Twin Rocks restaurant and Trading Post were well worth the stop. The food was excellent, a bit pricey, but the portions were large and could easily be shared. The Trading Post had a fantastic selection of Native American art and jewelry, well worth just visiting, even if you don't buy. Last but not least, the Desert Rose Resort and Cabins is a genuine diamond in the ruff. Reasonably priced, it is a hard resort to leave.

    This is an amazing property.

This is an amazing property. We stayed in cottage "B", it had the washer and dryer. Large, beautifully decorated, comfy bed, shame it wasn't a king. Still, that's of very small importance. Air con worked very efficiently and very quiet. Close to several National Parks and the Four Corners (fantastic for First Nations arts and crafts, bought a few beautiful things). Could not recommend more.

Love the quiet and the solitude.

Love the quiet and the solitude. It is a great jumping off point for Bears Ears National Monument and Monument Valley! The only negative I can say about Bluff is it is vey small town so it has very limited dining choices. I would recommend the Twin Rocks Cafe as the best in town!

We picked a spot on the map to stop for the night.

We picked a spot on the map to stop for the night. Couldn't have been happier. Dukes restaurant was fantastic. Friendly staff. Food was excellent. A little bit of a drive to the natuinal parks, but away from the hustle and bustle of Moab. Still good hiking and rock formations in the area and close to Sand Island petroglyphs.

Bluff is the gateway to Bears Ears and to the San Juan River. Lots of river people doing float trips and fishing. Bears Ears is just wonderful. Go to the Natural Bridges, and spend some time hiking around in the pristine land. View the ruins. Spend time just being there. This area is a last hold out of what has been. Get there before fire does. It is amazing.

An incredible place—incredible access to the outdoors, fantastic food, and the kind of peace you didn't know you needed until you get there. I almost hope it stays small and sleepy. Not even almost :)

Very nice little hotel in a beautiful setting between large cliffs. The hotel has a very distinctive style and several unique features (burning outside fireplaces at night, private BBQs for the suites, there was a Native American giving a lecture and playing the flute in the evening at the pool, …). The hotel is newly built so everything is neat and perfect. There is an extension still in construction at one side of the property but we haven’t noticed any disturbance from it.

Comfortable, well-built cottage with all the amenities that we needed. This was our 2nd stay and likely not our last. We appreciated the instant ramen noodles, as there weren't many (any?) restaurants open when we were in Bluff. And the countryside around Bluff itself is a stunningly beautiful location. We took a walk along a long dirt road, past the town and into the back country. I could have walked for miles and miles looking at the wild and rocky scenery.

Room was an older style, but clean and maintained well. Great water pressure in the shower. I liked being on the end because we were traveling with pets, and this made it easy to get in and out of the room. We were doing a driving tour and this location in Bluff made for a great stopping point. Really enjoyed our dinner at Duke's down the street.

Loved the individually cooked breakfasts. Why can't other b&bs do the same? The room was spacious and comfortable with outside space at the back and front with the most incredible view of the bluffs. Good location to visit Monument valley. The best accommodation of our trip. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel is in a great location about halfway from route 66 to Moab. It is near Monument Valley, Needles district of Canyonlands, Goosenecks State Park & many other interesting sites. The hotel is easy to find (right on the highway) yet very quiet. Nice shower. Very clean.
