We had a confirmation from Expedia with a room rate of $64.
We had a confirmation from Expedia with a room rate of $64.XX but upon arrival we were told that there were no single queen rooms left and we could upgrade to a double queen room for $25. Being almost 11:00 PM, we had no choice but to accept this bogus upcharge.

The price of the room was great.
The price of the room was great. Even though it was fairly inexpensive I was expecting it to be clean and big free. The staff was friendly but. The bugs overwhelming. I was glad to leave. Never again.

We are looking to build a home north of the city and did a lot in the 2 days we were there. I loved the downtown area and the riverfront park area. Definitely would have been worth having a few more days - but will be back if our offer on land is accepted anyways :)
Definitely check out the riverfront and old pump house. Got some really cool photos and there were a lot of people out enjoying the beautiful weather. If you're traveling without your dogs (which we were) and want some doggy time, head there as well. A lot of people with their four legged friends walking the greenway and hanging out on the grassy areas near the water.
Very diverse area and clean city! I feel really good about moving to Columbia SC from Nashville TN.

Breakfast could have been better.
Breakfast could have been better. I eat GF free and there was not much choice for me. Cracker Barrel is right down the street and Lizard's Thicket is not too far away. Getting around the area is very easy. I play disc golf and there are a number of courses nearby to play. I have dust mite allergies and although the beds were clean I could smell the yuk from the old carpets the minute I walked through the door. If not for this and the somewhat seedy location I would have given it 5 smiles. But I ask myself is anywhere else going to be any different given all the rule breakers allowed in our country? Probably not!

Kelly,Roshonda,Rasheed was amazing front desk staff.
Kelly,Roshonda,Rasheed was amazing front desk staff. Jessica was very rude as a sales manager she does not represent Hilton standards at all as a manager. I didn't like my stay at all there wasn't 100% guarantee at all in I'm a Hilton honors memeber gold at that.. Jessica wasn't trying to accommodate anything off my stay nor go to any of the rooms that was given to see about the issue she was just RUDE as a manager. I should had got back my whole stay not just one night due to still staying in a dirty room

We didn't have time to go into the city of Columbia... as we were just staying one night on our way elsewhere but we hear is it charming.
We did enjoy the self-guided boardwalk tour of the Congaree National Park which does not take long and the woods are very interesting.
.We have stayed at the same hotel every weekend for 5 weeks while our daughter is in a respiratory rehab facility nearby. Each room we have stayed in was spotless. Some of the cleanest hotel rooms we have ever seen. The staff is very friendly. The proprietor and his wife are very accommodating and see to your every need. I can't say enough about this place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Columbia SC.
Just like the other traveler, I was worried about this hotel. When I actually get here, this place look a little bit old and when I climbed to the second floor, it feels like I am in the horror movie. However! when I walked into the room, it surprises me. The bathroom is big, bed look clean. I would say if you look for one night stay and no have a lot of budget, this is a above average choice
Amazing!!! Amazing staff ! VERY CLEAN !!! Love the room design . I’ll always book with Marriott love how they have Netflix on the tv . They give options on your choice of television! Breakfast area was clean and good choices. I also loveedd the grill and life size ♟️ game they had outside . Such a vibe ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel ! Will come back again ❤️
Perfect location in the middle of the campus and within walking distance from most sights. Secure parking. The room was really nicely appointed with cool decorations. I liked that the complimentary waters comes in a can and not in a plastic bottle. Bar looks really cool although we didnt go. It makes me want to stay in other hotels of this chain.
The breakfast was delicious! Loved that we were provided a key card to the parking garage right beside of the hotel. Loved that you key into the lobby at night and the elevator any time of day, this made us feel extra safe. The staff was super friendly and were really great at their jobs! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Everything from all the room had to offer from a spacious sitting area with the sofa, TV, etc, up to date bathroom, coffee/fridge, and comfortable bedroom with decent closet space. In addition to very complimentary staff, you have the convenience of a restaurant and bar in the hotel.
Food and drinks are exceptional
after being at multiple hotels in the area since we have a child attending UOfSC.. we decided to try Staybridge while in the area..Extremely clean, abundant amenities, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and complimentary happy hour with food! excellent price. a hidden gem in Columbia.. will definitely be back
This was a good but not great hotel. Little things needed fixing bathroom tap was running constantly, and there was a stain on the bed spread. It was generally clean but not spotless eg stain on carpet. However the beds were comfortable and the room clean. Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful.
Staff was very nice. They did a very good job keeping the breakfast area clean. Good value for the price. The beds were comfy. The room was clean. But everything is a bit cheap and outdated (which is no surprise, you get what you pay for and for what you pay it is really good).
I liked how clean the room was and the shower had very good water pressure for a hotel. The hotel is located in the downtown business district, just a few short blocks from the State Capital building and the campus of The University of South Carolina.
The property is new and it shows. A very well kept hotel with friendly, courteous people running the business. The breakfast was very good and the check out was a breeze. I would highly recommend if traveling through Columbia SC.
Breakfast was great for grab and go. I initially saw the room for cheaper but the sites offering that price did not work. A little misleading. I ended up paying $25 more than advertised.
Just lovely - the people, the hotel, the food, and the overall atmosphere kept me comfortable and close to where I needed to be. I will be staying again when in town.
The Staff Was Very Friendly. They Apologized For Me Not Being Satisfied With My Stay And Tried To Make Things Right But It Was The Hotel Accommodations Itself.
