Very neat town with great restaurants and shops!
Very neat town with great restaurants and shops! It's a perfect starting point for hikes and excursions along the North Shore with beautiful State Parks like Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock just around the corner. They put much effort into setting up trails and historical markers with info points along the shore. Must go to Blackwoods for lunch/dinner!

We weren't sure what to expect and decided to stay here...
We weren't sure what to expect and decided to stay here sight unseen, to break up a long trip from Kansas to the Boundary Waters. The waterfront in town was dominated by the ore dock, but once we moved a little bit to the north, near the lighthouse, the view from the shore was beautiful. The restaurant choices at the time we arrived were limited, but we enjoyed dinner at the Black Woods. There were not a lot of lodging options, and although the Country Inn was nice, we felt it was overpriced.

Check in at 4:00 but room not ready til 7:00.
Check in at 4:00 but room not ready til 7:00. We said we would cancel and go somewhere else and they said they would still charge us. Many others were also waiting for rooms!
We were very tired and had to sit around and wait.
Went to pool and hot tub was brown and dirty.
When we got to room there were no bath towels or ice bucket. Waited til 9 pm for towels then the guy dropped a bag off with sheets blankets etc with 2 towels at bottom so I had to unpack the bag to get to towels. The hallway had all the carpet missing with bare concrete floors. Talked yo manager about some compensation and he said he would get back to us, but never did. We are reporting to better business bureau.

Two Harbors has some amazing resorts and restaurants.
Two Harbors has some amazing resorts and restaurants. The grand Superior Grill, Ledge Rock Grill, Silver Creek Chop House, and Rustic Inn were all great. You have a home base for visiting all the sites on the North Shore with seclusion and a view of Lake Superior.

Two Harbors is a great location to base a stay to easily access some of the key experiences of the North Shore. Has enough restaurants and good grocery store for all of your needs, and is also very close to Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, and Tettegouche State Park.

So much to do in the area!
So much to do in the area! We were there in early Spring - so still a bit difficult to navigate walking through some area State Parks - but we were still able to do a ton!
Highly recommend: Splitrock State Park, Goosebury Falls State Park, Black Beach, Glensheen Mansion, Betty's Pies, Rustic Inn Cafe, Two Harbors Lighthouse walk, Jay Cooke State Park, Tettegouche State Park, etc...
The room was very large and the view was amazing. Loved the deck! Close to the Festival of Sail, which was why we stayed in Two Harbors. The pool/hot tub/sauna at Burlington Bay was nice. It was fun that the hot tub had the option to go outdoors from inside! At the main lodge we thought it was great that they had both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tub. Was nice to go rock hunting at the beach in front of the main lodge!
The location of this hotel is ideal, between Duluth and all the attractions on the North Shore. The hotel has a nice pool and jacuzzi, and also complimentary mini-golf. There are no on-site laundry facilities, but there is a laundromat across the street and a supermarket also very nearby. The breakfast was adequate, although somewhat limited. There was also sufficient free parking.
The location of the cottages is exceptional! The view on Lake Superior is truly unique and we enjoyed sitting at the fireplaces along the shore. With a pool, a hot tub, massages, kayak rental and much more, the place offers a variety of great amenities. The place is very quiet but still within a ten-minutes drive to Two Harbors. In terms of location and surroundings, truly a gem!
We loved that there was an outdoor pool which is rare for the North Shore. The kids really enjoyed the s’mores provided and hunting for cool rocks on the beach. In front of the hotel, as one can clearly see from the photographs, is a beautiful scene to relax and enjoy.
So very inviting and personable; including marshmallows to roast on the outside open fire! Alejandro was very friendly upon check-in, also supplying information for trips around the hotel (like waterfalls in the vicinity of the hotel).
Loved the location on Lake Superior, the fire pits on the lake each night and the free s’mores kits! Patrice gave us awesome service each morning at breakfast—Very friendly and efficient.
Offered everything we needed in a hotel for a good rest to explore the beautiful Lake Superior area! Clean, comfortable and a simple but nice continental breakfast.
