Ionia is a quaint town with alot of great shopping, dining options, nature trails, parks, etc. The historic downtown is a wonderful special to see & walk around. Of course there's the annual Ionia Free Fair. Fun, fun, fun! Other small towns aren't far from here for some more unique, historic adventures.

I liked that everything we needed was just up the road.
I liked that everything we needed was just up the road. Restaurants and Walmart! I disliked the smell in the air! It was so bad I thought my Godson had pooped his pants, but it was the smell of the air!!!!

Small town. Not many options for restaurants.
Small town. Not many options for restaurants. The Alibi Restaurant had good food. I heard from a local that the Lamplight has good food. I was disappointed with Olivera’s. The wait staff was rude, unhelpful and the food was not fresh. There wasn’t any traffic. Some kid friendly places were the Meijer Gardens and MOO-ville which had kids toys.

We stayed overnight after a wedding, the owner was really great with working with us for a late check in since our day was a little hectic with the setup and tear down after the wedding. He also let us pick our breakfast time the next morning. Breakfast was delicious, he even asked if we had any dislikes or allergies which is always appreciated, and it was nice that it just came to our room in the morning! Really beautiful home and facilities, very clean. Would definitely stay again if we're ever in Ionia.

The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to the beautiful little town and the fairground. There is a nice pizzeria next to it and it's surrounded by wonderful nature trails. Perfect !:)

The hotel offers breakfast but we're not breakfast people. We stayed here in 2018 when it was newly purchased and there have been improvements.
