The price for the room was reasonable.
The price for the room was reasonable. Some fixtures were old or outdated and needed to be replaced, ie carpet, lamp switches. It was clean except for the stained and worn carpet which may have been clean but did not appear so. The staff was friendly and called me by name as we exchanged greetings on passing. The breakfast was good with some hot items. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The location was safe. Overall it was what I would expect for the price of the room.

What I liked most about my stay was the peace.
What I liked most about my stay was the peace. No noises in the hall or even from the construction work. The breakfast was good as heck and not too crowded. The receptionist was friendly and efficient

New Iberia is where I grew up and there are a lot of good restaurants and plenty things to do. Lydia Food store has a wonderful little lunch menu and the roast is out of this world. then there is Landry's its just out of New Iberia going toward Jeanerette and the crawfish ettoufette is delicious.

Clean room but the motel looks run down on the outside.
Clean room but the motel looks run down on the outside.
The perimeter needs to be spruced up. Old renovation debri laying around as we looked out the room window.
Toilet ran continuously unless the toilet handle was jiggled.

Cleaning staff and maintenance were very friendly!
Cleaning staff and maintenance were very friendly! And room had a very nice shower! Other that that it was a terrible experience. My room was booked 3 or 4 days in advance. I called everyday confirming my reservation. When I got to the hotel for check in they had released the room I reserved that morning to a salesman that did business for the hotel. I was told 3 lies at check in about why they didn’t have the room I Reserved. Myself, husband and son were put into a single bed room and given a cot That didn’t fit unless we blocked the door and walk way into the room. The cot was very very old, rusty, and wasn’t even comfortable enough to sit on much less sleep. I was told at check in that there were no other rooms available Due to storm coming. After being in room for a few hrs I went back to front desk demanding to speak to manager. Manager was called and when I spoke to her she was very nice and offered me a room w/ two beds and guaranteed that the following morning she would be there to address the situation and would fix the situation and move us into the suite that I originally booked. Next morning I waited to hear from her but got nothing. I went up to front desk twice asking to speak to her. They wrote down my name, room number and phone number and a shored me they would give her my message. Still never heard anything back. We left the hotel a day early which left us paying for a night that we did not even stay due to such poor service.
Excellent location with a beautiful view from the back porch. The hosts are really exceptional and are quick communicators via the Booking.com app. We had a quiet, three-night stay and would gladly stay again. The best part about this place is that our needs were met and our wants were anticipated. Little touches like comfy toilet paper made our stay even better (unlike the places that only give you 1-ply!). Thoughtfully decorated and fun to stay, I'd recommend this place to anyone.
When I get to this hotel they could not find my reservation the front desk lady seems to have some attitude! When we get there we were late so we had no time to spear and instead she try to help us we turn and told us that she was busy and she and couldn’t check until 3pm! So I walked away and stand up outside for a little while and than I walk back in side and ask speak to a manager there was none there! My experience was a sad one!
This was a perfect stop and so close to Avery Island. The home was so cozy and comfortable. We had stayed previously at a hotel and was so appreciative of the comfortable mattresses. We finally got a good night's rest. Our hosts had thoughtful treats awaiting us. We left some items behind and the host mailed them to us, which is above and beyond! We will absolutely stay here again!
Chateau Royale was just a little piece of heaven, the location on the bayou was so romantic & a stones throw from some of the coolest bars & eateries in New Iberia.
Mickey & Tiffany ought to b very proud of their beautiful place, the decor was fabulous & new things kept catching my eye. It was extremely well equipped & one couldn't fail to enjoy. Thank u.
The hotel was as expected. The location is not fantrastic, however nobody can claim to be surprised by this after a quick glance at Google maps. All facilities were as expected for a Holiday Inn Express and Suites, as was the rather bland breakfast, so cannot say anything that it was satisfactory
My fiance and I have been staying at this hotel for a couple years off and on. This is the only hotel in New Iberia we stay at. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. The location is perfect for the activities we enjoy.
This is the most difficult review I've written for our Florida to Arizona cross-country journey because this is a reasonably priced, clean and bright hotel in a good loction with good facilities. BUT read on below ......
The Desk clerk Ms.Elizabeth was such a sweetheart and so hopefully with anything I needed. The room was clean, first time actually being in a hotel that didn't have a funky smell.
It’s was everything, due to its being valentines. My boyfriend decorated for me. Which made me loved it even more 🥰💌😂 but I loved the hotel since it gotten remodel.
For the most part it was fairly quiet. There was no one hanging out in the parking lot or nearby location. Hotel is central to shopping centers and restaurants.
