The beds, and room were nice.
The beds, and room were nice. Not having a HOT TUB when it was shown in pictures was bothering. We had Grandchildren and we the Grandparents are all swimmers and love to have this. I also was very disappointed with the breakfast not having ANY fruit, or yogurt and a little bit of eggs left. We ate at 8:20 and the breakfast area was open until 9. Upon arrival the staff very friendly but after a complete employee changeover the atitude and caring spirit of the staff quickly faded and the once friendly faced changed into a mirror image of the slum lord owner and his nasty distaste for his business. Read positive and negative reviews before I booked and take these with a grain of salt. The Suburban was just fine and we extended our stay and would have extendd it by another day but it was fully booked so we couldn't. The staff was friendly and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if in the area.

Great downtown area with good restaurants and cute shops. wonderful hiking and biking trails along the river where it's peaceful and you can see birds along the river. I can't give a fair review - I grew up in Cedar Falls and still have family there - the reason for the trip. But unlike some places that have outgrown themselves in recent decades Cedar Falls seems to have kept all that made it a great place to grow up while making most changes better for residents and visitors alike.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom

To our surprise it was a large suite with a whirlpool tub that had a separate bed room. The room had a fireplace as well. Wow! The upgrade was given within our original booking rate. Breakfast was good. The waffle mix was apple cinnamon which was very tasty. Otherwise, it was typical scramble eggs and sausage for the other hot entrees on both mornings we stayed. Compared to our stay at this hotel in Jul, it was absolutely quiet!DanUnited States

I don't like to waste food but threw most of it away. The coffee was good and I had a good bagel. I did tell the front desk that things were boiling and drying out - I don't like to complain but didn't want the food ruined even more. Otherwise, I was very happy with the hotel.
