It is a small town with nothing much to do, more so since it was 1 January and everything was closed. The Church of the Sacred Heart in the centre of the town is absolutely stunning inside. Sadly the outside is scaffolded as it is still being renovated. The Buk Thermal baths are quite close and are fantastic.

Kőszeg is a nice, tiny town at the Austro-Hungarian border. There are beautifully renovated houses from the 17-18. century in downtown and, of course, the Fortress. The churches are also beautiful. The main one at Fő tér is under reconstruction. Locals are friendly and helpful. I owe many thanks to one of them (Barbara, from the Hair and Beauty Salon near Tesco and Penny Markt) who helped me find a new accomodation after I had realized the one I booked was out of question.VikiHungary

Even if one side of the structure overlooks the street, the area is sufficiently quiet and privacy is guaranteed. Inside the apartment we found the necessary for the stay (towels, dishes, detergents...) and we were also given a card to park for free nearby. Mr. Jósef is the owner of the establishment and he is really kind and patient! I recommend the apartment because the experience was very positive 🏡🫶🏻

All high tech lighting systems , modern and comfortable. Breakfast is a very nice continental offering with freshly cooked eggs if you want. The owner and his staff could not do enough for you and were so helpful. Set on the gorgeous little square in koszeg with some lovely restaurants. This was a lovely find for my business trip. The location is just perfect, it is in the city center, walking distance to the castle, restaurants are next door. It’s definitely a place we’d like to return to in the future. The swimming pool was an added bonus! Köszeg was surprisingly nice as well. There was also a lot to see and do in the area.
