We stayed near the marina which had lots of quaint restaurants. It was easy to walk around and enjoy. The hop-on hop-off bus stop was right outside our hotel and provided easy access to Athens without all the headaches of staying in Athens. Since we were taking a cruise, this hotel was easily accessible to the cruise terminal and the hotel staff took care of all our arrangements.

Our host was amazing.
Our host was amazing. She was such a great facilitator and helped us find everything that we needed. She was just more than cordial. She even helped us find a plug that we needed in the town nearby. Shelters find our way to the train and I have it was a very nice clean, happy place and about a 20 minute cab ride to the port with the cruise ships, she was amazing

It was several years since my last visit and I was pleasantly surprised. The area around the new metro station is so nice full of stores and cafes. The sea is so close and the feeling you get is that of a crowded yet friendly neighborhood.

In my opinion, I think if it is absolutely necessary to stay...
In my opinion, I think if it is absolutely necessary to stay overnight in Piraeus - perhaps due to Cancelled, on strike, or weekend reduced running times of ferries to or from the Saronic Gulf islands of choice..then it is better than staying in a hotel, to the other choice of seeing out the night until transport is available to where you want to go. Other than that I would not choose to stay or be in Piraeus for only as long as necessary.
It was close to the port for our ferry trip which was the purpose of booking this hotel. It was a no-frills hotel, but that was our expectation. The inside seemed clean, we had a private bathroom, hot water, and an air conditioner. If you keep into consideration the cost to stay here, you will be 100% satisfied! Just now the ‘twin’ beds are tiny and smaller than twin beds. They were fine for my children, but I suspect an adult would barely fit on one of them.
The location of this hotel is superb if you are taking a ferry to the islands. Only 3 blocks from the ferry! We took a quick taxi from the airport and the next morning walked to the ferry. We stayed here upon our arrival to Greece and then also at the tail end of the trip after returning from the islands. The restaurant food was great! The room very clean. Very helpful staff at the front desk. Highly recommended!
A room with a view! Perfectly situated in Pireus in front of the sea, away from the ferry crowds but sufficiently close to the ferry port to be able to reach it easily, the hotel makes you feel you are already on holidays. We only stayed for one night, en route for the islands but would have loved to stay there more to discover Piraeus and Athens' riviera. Great quality for the price and warm welcome.
Achillion Hotel is a reliable accommodation in a great location, not very far from ferries, two metro lines, and the NAT stop of the x96 airport bus. I have booked it several times, knowing that it will be a comfortable place to recover from flights or ferries, at a very reasonable cost. Clean, good facilities, WiFi and hot water are great, friendly and efficient people at the desk, open 24 hours.
Clean and very modern decor. This was a small boutique hotel near the train station. The room was upgraded. (Thank you management team). It had a kitchen array behind a wardrobe door which we did not use. The room had a charming loft extension up a ladder like stairs with a small bed and wardrobe. We did not use that either for our one night stay.
For a single stay to catch the ferry early in the morning we recommand this accomodation. For a longer stay at Athens or for visiting the sights it would be better to go to a more comfortable hotel. But this is the problem at Piräus Port. The hotels at the port are for Island hoppers.
The suite was fantastic and the sea view was amazing I liked my staying there, very clean, the stuff very helpful
But actually make sure when you book that you are in Pireas not in athens because it is far from Athens but there are a public transportation very close to the hotel
Excellent location for the port or to catch the metro into the centre. Bed was so comfortable which is hard to find in Greece! Breakfast also great quality and lots of selection. Ate at the hotel restaurant twice and the food was beautiful. My new favourite hotel in Piraeus!
Great hotel for staying before/after a ferry ride. Just a couple of minutes walk from Piraeus port, clean but small room and decent restaurants close by. The staff were very helpful in helping us arrange a transfer from the airport despite us not having pre-booked it.
Extremely professional and friendly staff. The hotel is in a perfect position opposite to the bus stop and sea. The hotel is fitted out beautifully and we will definitely book there again when visiting Greece.
A fantastic breakfast was included with a lot of hot options. Room was very nice, bed was comfortable, hotel is a walkeable distance from the port. Free wi-fi. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
Staff, location, breakfast were all great for a one night stopover connecting island ferry and a flight from Athens airport (and the reverse). The hotel was spotlessly clean, though showing it's age.
Great value for the price. Wonderful(!) breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Great location for the hotel so close to the port and with the view of the nearby church. Functioning AC.
Great hotel near the port, also walking distance to public transport, very clean, cleaner than our UK 3* hotels, professional and friendly staff, spacious room, quiet place.
