Mirtos is a small, very friendly village. Great tavernas and bars. Several local shops for necessities. Lovely beach but sea can be a bit rough at times. A trip up to the villages in the mountains is a must. Have travelled around crete for 30 years but the past 7, been coming here. Mirtos has stolen our hearts !!

I liked everything and I wish I could stay more.
I liked everything and I wish I could stay more. Myrtos is a small town in South Crete. It is a charming place with good, helpful and generous people. The food is delicious, the sun shines and the sky is blue.

An excellent little village which combines sea and mountain activities. Relaxing place with a huge beach with trees. But please discover Myrtos on foot! So many paths start in this village, some of them are easy, around nearby hills; some you need to carry extra water to visit Mithi village or Sarakinas gorge. There is the Minoan settlement of Pyrgos and much more. We will surely come back to the beautiful village of Myrtos full of magnolia trees.

I liked Mirtos when it wasn't so full.
I liked Mirtos when it wasn't so full.
I also liked the fact that they try to discourage card entering the village so it's safer for padestrians.
Unfortunately, it has become very popular and it's too small to accommodate the amount of visitors that it gets.

Mirtos is a small village, that we feel, is unspoiled by tourism. There are several tavernas, all serving delicious food. A few small bars have greek music nights. If you are looking for night clubs or kareoke nights, this is not the village for you. But, it is our favourite !!!

A charming & pretty small coastal town with plenty of good tavernes and a pleasant beach, but in a normal year with full occupancy would be very overcrowded.
La Sera is a good taverna with exceptional house wine. O Platanos was sadly full. Everything easy walking distance but streets too narrow to want to drive in.
A good base to explore from.
The hotel is outside the main tourist centre (Myrtos) (less than 2 km), so it is not for travellers without a car. Having said that, the hotel is a gem. Surrounded by dense greenery it creates a feeling of being in a small paradise. I spent just a night there, but thoroughly enjoyed the spacious balcony. The room was huge and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately didn't have the time to use the pool which seemed attractive and large enough.
Location Fabulous, begining of the season so they were getting ready in Myrtos. very friendly staff, there was some building happening next door, but the owner of the hotel asked them to not be banging in the afternoon siesta time and they obliged. Which was perfect. Clean, friendly, it was a last minute run for a quick getaway after covid restrictions, that's all we needed, somewhere to lay out heads and we had that. Thank You.
It was our second time staying here, and hopefully not the last. It's located just a few steps from the beach, all stores, restaurants and the pharmacy are also right next to the hotel. The hosts are very friendly and always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout your stay. Our room had everything we needed, with exceptionally comfortable beds. And the breakfast is amazing! :)
Nice apartment central in Myrtos. We were met by the owner and presented the apartment. Nice and clean with all necessary eqipment. . Everything worked well in the apartment, except for one small detail. The shower could not be mounted high up, but had to be hold. The location is perfect. Nice and quiet, with cafe, restaurant and local bakery very close, together with two supermarkeds.
Great location in an amazing seaside village. Expect a laid back vibe and enjoy the whole experience.
The rooms are feeling their age but we slept like babes. There may be some plumbing issues but the hotel fits in with the whole boohoo feel.
Long may Myrtos remain this way.
Super hospitality during our stay in big blue enjoying the great sea view. The building is just in front of the sea and has all the necessary facilities. The owner was super reactive when we had a problem with the WiFi and he managed to find a solution ASAP.
I have stayed in Myrtos many times. This was one of the best apartments I have used.
Very comfortable for my family. Kitchen with full equipment, so we can prepare food for our baby. Sofa bed with extra bed rail.
Huge garden to relax of for kids to play.
The hotel is right in the middle of Myrtos with everything a very short walk away.
Its a basic hotel with good value including an excellent and full breakfast.
The family were friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable and provide all we needed
Esperidis Hotel was a perfect place for our one week stay in Mirtos. The location is perfect - no need of a car to reach the beach, tavernas, supermarket, etc. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the pool, too.
After several times of staying in apartments in Myrtos, we stayed in Hotel Myrtos and had very pleasant experience. All praise for the hospitality.
Thanks a lot to you Jana and your lovely family!
It's the most amazing place to stay in Myrtos. This was our second year in a row we visited Mirtini and we will definitely go back again next year. Great place and great memories.
Very nice apartments in a panoramic and quite location, secluded from the tourist hustle of Myrtos. Friendly and welcoming hosts, dogs and cats included :)
Recommended!
The hotel is very clean and cosy and has all the necessary kitchen tools in the room. The roof terrace is spectacular! The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
