plenty of bars and eating places, lots of shops selling different items. easy to get round chora but you can get lost but easy to find your way out locals are very helpful. restaurants visited in Ios around port Octopus Tree mainly fish the garlic prawns are exceptional; also prawn saganaki Enigma traditional Greek food lamb baked in pot amazing pork chop huge! Greek salad Tasaki home made bread. local rose wine very nice. Gyros place excellent various types of cheap!!! Tropicana bar good cocktails and have English football on big screen. Ios is a beautiful island.
Ios is a beautiful island. The beaches, the food, the people, the buildings, the scenery, the nightlife, the chill factor but most of all the overall vibe is the best of any of the Greek islands I have visited and I can’t wait to go back there. The boat trip taking you to the 6 beaches is amazing with snorkelling thrown in. The square and its bars is a must. Sunsets in various location are stunning and the local traditional restaurants provide amazing food at reasonable prices

October was a very out of season time to visit Ios, most bars, restaurants and shops were closed so there was not much to do in the main town. The buses had stopped doing all routes apart from 3 stops.

Chora is the only one village on the whole island, very pitoresc and full of small streets with lot of shops, bars and restaurants. There are a number of beaches on the Island, worth to visit and very good accessible by car. best of all for sure the Koumbara Bay with the perfect sunbeds and great service, not cheap but worth each penny!RichardRomania - 8.0Scored 8.0

She also met me at the port, and took me back on my check out day. My room was clean, and cleaning person was coming to check the room every day. Place has nice swimming pool which also was well maintained. Also place located in quiet area, but not too far from the village (10 minutes walking). There is a bus stop right next to the hotel, from where you can go directly to the beach. I felt very comfortable staying there. Thank you Rita.OlgaLatvia

The best view you will ever get, since this place is located at elevated area and with direct view to Chora. I opened my window and I see Chora. Port to hotel and vice versa is provided by host. I really appreciate this extra service. The host also owns a restaurant called The Mills, few minutes walk downhill towards Chora. Maria and her family were really sweet to us and even offered us some traditional greek food they had cooked.
