Angus is a satellite community to Barrie, ON.

Angus is a satellite community to Barrie, ON. Scenic, rolling hills full of farms and estate properties on large lots. If you like nature and a rural life, Angus has it. Plus, the community has all the modern businesses that make life convenient (restuarants, grocery stores, mechanical repair services, motels, and ecological recreation).

The guy at the desk was nice and friendly.

The guy at the desk was nice and friendly. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The room was very clean and tidy, bed comfy but the pillows were not comfy for me. But that's nothing. Angus is a nice quiet Town. We had a restaurant close by where ate. The food was good. This hotel is very convenient for local shopping. Am going to stay there again. And I will recommend this place for a nice little getaway.

I stayed in Angus, as a base to fish the Nottawasaga River for Great Lakes Steelhead. Unfortunately during my stay the river was blown out and the Steelies were just not there. Nevertheless, I was close enough to other options. I'd stay here again when the Steelies are running! :-) I stayed at the Inn with my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Maya. She love the bed, too! :-)

I stayed in town to visit relatives so didn’t spend much time in Angus itself. There were useful amenities nearby - a drugstore, fast food restaurants and two grocery stores. I had a really good breakfast at a great place called Stacks.

The highlight of Angus are the people, they are very friendly. It's a comfortable town. You have a good choice of restaurants a few shops and outdoor mall. I think it's a great one night get-away because it's comfy and surrounded by nature. Breakfast at Stacked was ok, I prefer my home fries fried, and Egg & I topped their pancakes, I liked their marble bread and jam. Dinner at Panda Express was ok, I had to add more soya sauce. The hospitality was good. There's not a lot to do for tourists that I know of, but a few nature trails nearby. It's developing so there may be more in the future.

Don't judge from the outside! The Angus Inn Motel has exceptionally clean, modern and well appointed rooms. I never used the flat screen TV! My room had a queen-sized bed that was very comfortable. Also the room had a large fridge, microwave, coffee maker, two burner stove, dishes and utensils. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. Excellent value! I'd stay here again. It was also quiet at night.

This is my fourth stay at the Angus inn motel. Every time is an exceptional visit. Management bends over backwards to make sure you're comfortable. I had hurt my leg and they came out and carried my bags upstairs got me an ice pack and was so very thoughtful. I will be returning soon. I have family that lives in the area and it's my go-to motel.

If you know Angus, you'll know this spot is your best option in Town. That said it is a small-town motel. You are not staying at a Marriott. The staff are lovely and the room was very clean and served our purposes for the single night we were visiting family.
