I'd say Pisz is the only town in the Masurian lake district...
I'd say Pisz is the only town in the Masurian lake district that retained some local character and hasn't been totally overwhelmed by tourism as sadly as all the other towns in the area. Beautiful and recently refurbished parks and quays, preserved historic centre, great public city beach, good choice of marinas, boat and water sports equipment rentals at lake Ros (short walk northwards). Some great eating out options in the centre and at the lake front, local fresh fish specials at reasonable prices, professional staff although not always English speaking..
"Kamienna baba" at the main square is probably the top attraction, a pre-Christian Prussian idol moved to Pisz from a nearby village Wejsuny in 19th century, found it intriguing..
Recommended marina if you're coming by boat is "PMOS" at the river Pisa, they don't take cards but great price/service ratio and closer to city centre than the lake Ros marinas.. There is another new marina in making even farther south along the river, but was not available in the 2020 summer season..

Lovely town, beautiful lake with all the necessary amenities...
Lovely town, beautiful lake with all the necessary amenities. We sail on the lake for a very reasonable price following the recommendations of the receptionist of Hotel Joseph Conrad. We also had a meal there, and the food and the setting was lovely. Ideal place to have a drink or a meal during the sunset.

You can visit a beach just in the town Pisz.
You can visit a beach just in the town Pisz.
You can borrow the motor boat in the smaller town Mikolajki (40km from Pisz) and you do not need the licence for this - it was an excellent experience (smaller boat 100 PLN per 1 hour; bigger one 200 PLN. The visit of the old city of Gdansk was also unforgettable
You can eat in restaurants (special fish restaurant is roughly in every town, village) and the dish is also excellent
Adequate for a short stay. The hotel is well located, but rather dated. The rooms are basic but fine. Very service minded staff at breakfast. The price was a bit higher than expected, but it was a long weekend in Poland and all hotels in the region were packed. I’m also happy that hotels are able to charge a bit for a proper comeback post Covid-19.
Location is very nice in city center, near the river. Restaurant has outdoor tables with nice view, tasty food. Room clean and nice. Comfortable beds. No outside hotel noise (like streets, railroad). Interesting mini-park in the parking lot. Terrace/balcony (not individual for the room though).
Great location, nice restaurant with delicious breaksfast. Friendly, yet not to pro active staff. Rooms are clean. Nice outdoor space for bonfire, water sports equipment available for rent. Close proximity to other amenities (local public beach, walking distance to the town of Pisz)
Friendly & helpful staff. Spacious & clean room. Beautiful location of the hotel with a view for the lake. Nice restaurant with delicious food. Excellent breakfast - a lot of options to chose. Free parking place. Very quiet place where you may relax yourself.
Very friendly staff, great and quiet location: no traffic noise because the hotel is surrounded by the river and a park. Excellent restaurant!
Yes, the rooms are a bit worn, but the price is right for what is offered
My hometown-but I only visited the town few times in last 33 years. Beautiful hotel in absolutely best location. Only I was missing better lake venue. Some lamps and more water exits will appreciate. Still love it.
Location, location, location......beautiful lakefront hotel, very peaceful! Perfect after a long journey and stressful work day! I will definitely stay here again!
