Great location, facilities and host. We had a slight issue which was swiftly resolved once we let the host know. The area around is wonderful with lots of wildlife, walks, bars/restaurants and activities. Cantabria is a wonderful relaxed place to explore.

The location is great, landscape wise, the surroundings all perfect.
The apartment I got, was on the second floor,a one bedroom apt. it had a cool little window with views to mountain and fields. it looked smaller than in the photos though. The kitchenette had the appliances, microwave and vitro ceramic plaque, dishes and all that. it had the sofa bed and one double bed as mentioned. but the apartment can be a little dark. I would say is ok for short stay, no more than one or two nights. unless if your travelling solo. with kid can be a little small. they accept pets which for me was important. It does look renovated and with new appliances.
Bright, heated rooms at Posada Ormas are set in charming country houses with a central patio. Alto Campoó Ski Slopes are just 30 minutes’ drive from Ormas.

On a very cold January night, the room was lovely and warm, and so was the bed. We slept like logs!
It was too cold and dark to explore the surroundings but I imagine it to be lovely on a warm Summer's evening.

It was very quiet and peaceful. Very small village with narrow road for a 2 ways traffic.
I was on a working trip so for me it was perfect to enjoy the view of the nature after a long working day.

Need an ability to speak and understand Spanish to really get the most of the this wonderful area. Tourist facilities are excellent though geared to Spanish tourism. Nothing in Hoz de Abadia except peace and tranquility but excellent walking to other facilities. Not for those who want the life and vibrancy of the costas. They don’t know what they are missing! I say this having lived in the south of Spain for many years. It is perfect for older people who love nature.
