Vientiane is starting out on its journey to become a popular tourist area - facilities are improving and what is there now works well. Modern hotels are in process of being built and transport infrastructure is developing - the China/Laos hi
gh-speed railway is certainly opening up this country.
Currently, mass tourism has not yet arrived (unlike many other places, where you seem to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with half the world's population).
If you want to go, go soon (but not in the wet season - wet is really wet!) - we can see that in a few year's time this lovely country could be overwhelmed with the evils of mass tourism, with hundreds of coaches queuing daily to get to the ancient cultural sites!

Title: Vientiane: A City of Charm and Culinary Delights
Review:
Vientiane, the heart of Laos, is a city that radiates charm and hospitality. During my visit, I was constantly struck by the friendliness of the locals, who added warmth to every encounter. The city's culinary scene was a delightful surprise; each meal, whether at a humble street stall or a cozy restaurant, was a delicious exploration of Laotian flavors. While Vientiane may not top the list for a single-visit itinerary in Laos, it's undeniably worth spending a few days in. The city offers a unique blend of tranquility and cultural richness, making it a pleasant and memorable part of any Laotian adventure.

Kinda sleepy, and not as many Day Tours and things to do as Luang Prabang or other nearby Asian cities. The only tour I did was because I saw a sign on a tree offering a three-site half day thing for just $10USD. His name is Tungchai and I recommend his tour ... Find him here ... https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100067140248570 ... After that, I decided on a flash one-night visit to Vang Vieng / Nam Ngum Lake. The bullet train is FANTASTIC and that area up there is beautiful!

I booked this Hotel for married friends who came for 3 nights. The room was excellent as was the price. I gave an outstanding review. Yesterday I sent another friend there as it was so good. At check in they tried to put him in a small, smelly room where nothing (TV, safe etc) were working. He was forced to go to Reception and tell them it wasn't good enough. He was then put into the room he booked. This is very disappointing and has me doubting my original review. It's a shame that things like this happen in this country regularly. If you get the room you booked, this Hotel is excellent. Best of Luck.

Beautiful city, capital of Laos.
Beautiful city, capital of Laos. The city is spread out but still very walkable or by tuk tuk with many things to see and eat. The night market is nearby the river with some sort of kiddie amusement park. There seems to be a mix of old and modern entertainment to explore but I didn't do much (busy working). Lots of food stalls, dining options. Haven't had one bad meal but some are better than others for sure. The night food market near D Mart is superb for food finds.
A beautiful oasis away from bustle and noise, Green Park Boutique Hotel was the perfect place to “come home” to after a days’ work. The staff were warm, friendly and obliging, the breakfasts were freshly cooked and delicious, the arrangement of the rooms around the pool and greenery was peaceful and serene. As a long-staying guest (21 days), I was grateful to be a short walk away from Parkson’s Mall with its well-stocked supermarket. There’s nowhere else I’d stay in Vientiane.
The location couldn't be better, it is centered and has many restaurants around. We had a room with the view on the back of the property, so it was calm, not sure about the other side, but anyways it's not a very noisy city. The rooms were simple, and the breakfast was good enough. We needed a good hotel to pass through on our way to other places in Laos, so it was perfect for that. The pool area is nice to chill.
Hotels tend to look like each other a lot in Laos, but this one truly stands out with its beautiful architecture and lovely decoration. It's very special and enchanting. It is situated in a lovely authentic part of town walking distance from the That Luang. It was incredibly quiet and the room was extremely comfortable. It was very spacious, with plenty of amenities and great beds.
Hotel located in the heart of Vientiane, easy walk around city.
Staff are friendly and helpful. They arranged an pick up service for me. Introduce some of good place to go.
Breakfast was great, their are many choice. We love coffee machine, there are americano coffee in the morning.
Room clean and comfortable. Lovely view to night market and mekong river.
Beautiful elegant hotel, huge rooms that are very well maintained. Located within a short walking distance to Vientiane’s business district, restaurants, bars and clubs. Helpful team members, all speaking excellent English. The rooftop restaurant with a 360° view of town and the river serving yummy breakfasts and a chill place for evening cocktail.
An amazing hotel in Vientiane, quite reasonably priced considering. Close to the airport, a short stroll to the night markets and right on the Mekong River. It is not situated right in the city center, but more than makes up for that. The staff are very friendly and I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is new and room is nice and large .what I like the most is that there is netflix which is not even in other branded hotels ....also ..Staffs from front desk were nice and helpful as well as the bell men ..shuttle drivers are also nice helpful.
Thank you Eastin :)
Everything. The room are very Clean and quiet. The common area/lounge is charming and a great place to be social. Free water dispenser and kitchen facilites. The staff so friendly and helpful. This will be the only plays I stay when I go to laos for embassy visits ongoing
Service-minded and professional personnel, helped us a great deal in changing our booking and navigating the Laos railway-system. Very pleasant and clean room, with a very comfortable bed.
The whole stay was just perfect and i can't recommend this place enough.
I like everything, the staff were so friendly, smiling, and soooo gentle when they speak! ❤️ I also loved the the bed because it was really big for a little girl like me 😂 anyways, if i ever come back to Laos, i will surely stay here again ❤️
We had been there for 2 nights.
1. A lot of space for family of 3 people - 2 rooms
2. Breakfasts were of decent quility
3. Bathrobes were very kind gesture from the hotel
4. Soundproof was amazing, we did not hear a sound from outside.
Excellent choice in Vientiane. Clean and comfortable rooms, each with their own small balcony. Fantastic pool for cooling off after sightseeing in steamy Laos. Incredibly friendly staff, and Pan was great! Highly recommend
I got biggest room. Been traveling to laos alot . 2 to 3 times a year , 5 years now. I can honestly say I like this hotel. Location , new and clean , big balcony , and the price is good.
relaxed laid back laos, with lots of friendly nice people.
Had good sleep, after the stress of China.
Its not aggressive or INTRUSIVE....for some Westerners its paradise.
