I visited for a family party, but I have visited the area many times, Clitheroe Castle is great, only 5 miles, Pendle hill with skying slopes, lovely area. Padiham is a former mill town, a little run down but very friendly

Hotel is a few miles from Padiham and is set in great North...

Hotel is a few miles from Padiham and is set in great North Lancashire countryside. However Padiham is another Typical NE Lancashire town with good chip shop and one of best football training facilities in the England. Nearby hill country to north is very picturesque.

We don't have a view of Padiham but the countryside around is beautiful. One of the most enjoyable parts of our stay was that all the staff at the Higher Trapp Hotel were so friendly and most welcoming. We shall return.

There was nobody there to let us in. No response to email.provided. texted and called mobile number given but no response. After hanging around for a while I had to go and try to find a hotel for the night instead. Eventually found somewhere to stay. Furious. Was travelling with young daughter and to be abandoned like that was beyond unacceptable. When waiting outside house I noticed that house didn't look 'lived in' at all. Is this just a scam? I am contacting booking.com for a refund.

Lovely hotel. Food delicious. More than anything was the staff. They were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff so friendly and restaurant staff were the same. Felt like home from home. We had a dog and the annex that we stayed in was spacious. Beautiful gardens too. We are definitely going to visit again. Thank you for a great stay xxxx

Hotel was easy to find. It was a comfy hotel with a nice outlook over the garden and distant hills if you were lucky enough to have a room on that side. We had an enormous family room at the rear. Very quiet hotel. Breakfast was very good and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a comfortable one night stay after a family wedding in the area.

We had a midweek overnight stay for a wedding vow renewal. The hotel is set in a beautiful location. The hotel is very nice, staff were pleasant and helpful. The meals served were absolutely delicious. The breakfast was excellent, not often you see kippers on the menu, delicious.

The location of the hotel is wonderful, set in beautiful countryside, but not too far from towns. Rooms are quite large, comfortable and clean (if a little tired). The breakfast had a large selection and was a mix of buffet and cooked-to-order dishes.

The location and view excellent and access to motorway in about 15 min drive which was handy. Staff greetings friendly. We were pre-warned about an event at hotel and given option to have a room in annexe for a quieter night away from party.

The apartment was cosy and warm (heating worked well). The beds were good. The TV is huge and has Netflix. The corner shop opposite was handy and it's an easy walk into Padiham for the supermark and restaurants. Good shower.

The main hotel area was really nice. We stayed in a separate lodge and our actual bedroom was nice enough. Staff in the morning were very friendly.
