Beautiful cottage, very comfortable bed and great value for money. Loved the fact that they are dog friendly and that our furry family members were able to come with us! Shap Abbey is very close by and worth having a walk around if you want to take your dogs for a walk nearby.

It is located at a motorway services (southbound) right by the entrance into the lake district and a great place to stop over on a trip to the highlands which is what we did. The services facilities kind of make up for the lack of facilities at the hotel itself.
