Just a normal little town, with lots of friendly people and great charity shops for the community. A good choice of food shops The Shamble restuarant was lovely and the Indian Al-Haqqs, amazing food and a very helpful driver.

A great place to see North Norfolk and the Broads from.

A great place to see North Norfolk and the Broads from. Great Yarmouth beach is not far and Cromer is even closer - such a pescatarian’s dream - the legendary Cromer crab through to the catch of the day - the fish options do not disappoint. We had a spa treatment - facial (Neal’s Yard) and back massage (Decleor) at The Pigs - great upmarket eatery and spa hotel which caters for every dietary requirement - lovely enthusiastic staff too - would go back for that, the fish and the fresh air! Also have lunch or afternoon tea at The Beechwood Hotel - just wonderful service with a garden and snacks/nibbles with sparkling wine before your gourmet meal - loved it! Overall, would definitely recommend 😊

    North Waltham offers tranquil surroundings.

North Waltham offers tranquil surroundings. Many beaches in close proximity. Country feel with a touch of modernity. Laid back atmosphere. Clean air and surroundings. Good place to enjoy outdoors, hike, fish and just take nature in. There are many eating places from restaurants to cafés all dotted everywhere. We had fine dining at Labone restaurant- an Indian restaurant where we rated food and staff at a high score.

We have stayed in and around this area on several occasions.

We have stayed in and around this area on several occasions. Have always enjoyed our time in Norfolk on the Broads and hotels. Will definitely go back as we find it very relaxing which made our stay at Scarborough Inn all the more disappointing. I see the website has been updated since we booked and is now advertised as a B&B with room service. Had we have known this at the time of booking we would not have stayed there.

Beautiful country house hotel with a very welcoming atmosphere. Staff very helpful at all times and made us feel really welcome. Mark, one of the duty managers was particularly helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Menu choice really good and food excellent. Fabulous breakfasts that really set us up for the day. We stayed in the Hamilton Suite which was lovely, clean modern bathroom with White Company toiletries provided.

The apartment was a lovely apartment in a safe and clean area in North Walsham. It was well equipped and very clean and it was nice to have enough hangers etc in the wardrobes which is often not the case! Craig, was very good with his communication and sggestions on places to eat which helped. My "judgement" on whether somewhere was good enough is would I return and I most definitely would.

Staff were warm and friendly. The waiting staff in the resturant although obviously new (young) had obviously been trained and followed that training. The resturant food was truly excellent (which is what attracted us) the hotel is a bit 'old school' you get a real metal key to your room and the hotel is wonderfully old world but we liked that - lots of character and history

For us visiting family and knowing the area Tenison house is in a great location just off the main market street of North Walsham. The house is a great size, we travelled with our 2 teenage children so having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was a rare treat! The house was very clean, has all you need and in the middle of a wet December very warm.

Friendly and comfortable room. A real bonus was a private and separate room with sofa and TV. ie It was more like a typical Air BnB. Breakfast was self help and basic, but fine and at no fixed time. 15 minute walk into North Walsham shops otherwise need a car for anything else, including Cromer about 20/25 minutes away.

Location is in a lovely place but not much around. Local pub unfortunately had stopped selling food the week we stayed so we only had our breakfast on one of the days. First evening we went to North Walsham by train but it is a 30 minute walk and it was a very dark walk home.

The Hotel was lovely beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It was a way out of the way with no Bar or resturant facilities it was very disappointing. The Hotel did offer breakfast which was great catered for all, and the host was very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel and setting is beautiful - only reason that I would make a comment is that breakfast starts at 8.30 am - there was no breakfast times on booking, com - so I did miss breakfast both days - however amazing value and would definitely book again
