Penyvoel Hall, hotel in Llandysilio

Penyvoel Hall, a property with a garden, is set in Llanymynech, 14 km from Whittington Castle, 20 km from Chirk Castle, as well as 29 km from Shrewsbury Cathedral.

The decor was wonderful, just the right amount of modern with the perfect touch of times gone by. The views are fantastic from the jungle room. The host Jamie is brilliant and the breakfasts are amazing. They have thought about all of the little things that make a cozy stay, from fluffy blankets, dimmimg lights, luxurious towels and netflix/tv streaming, right down to good coffee and extra pots of milk! They've thought of everything! It's the little things that elevate this B&B so much!

We really liked the location of the property - it was a really peaceful stay and it gave us time to switch off from the world. We loved the VHS player too. Willowdene shepherds hut, hotel in Llandysilio

Boasting garden views, Willowdene shepherds hut features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 45 km from Chester Racecourse.

Location was perfect, the Shepherds Hut was exceptional, tastefully decorated, the separate hut for the shower and toilet was just as well maintained and all the added little touches added by the host Carrie made it a wonderful weekend. Loved the marshmallows and sticks provided for toasting on the firepit. The local pub 'The Original Ball' within walking distance with lovely food and friendly staff and customers.

Lakeside Eco Pod, hotel in Llandysilio

Lakeside Eco Pod is located in Oswestry, 16 km from Chirk Castle and 26 km from Erddig, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed.

Beautiful location on a working farm, stunning views, POD was comfortable on a cold evening and soon warmed up, Toilet was clean and better than anticipated, Owners were very helpful and assisted in taking our luggage up to the pod (something we didn't expect), This is "back to basics" accommodation that is clean, comfortable and set in a great location, If your looking for an outdoor experience with more comfort than camping this is it, USB sockets and LED lighting in the pod were a nice touch,

The Snug at Coed Y Gaer, hotel in Llandysilio

Featuring mountain views, The Snug at Coed Y Gaer offers accommodation with a patio and a kettle, around 12 km from Whittington Castle.

We had an incredible anniversary weekend at the snug, beyond relaxing, the setting is absolutely incredible, and the hut has everything you could need for a simple break. Questions were always quickly answered by the hosts, and we were made to feel very welcome. We loved the views, being surrounded by greenery, and watching the animals roam around the fields. We did some food shopping on the way up to the hut, we'd planned to go out for a meal on the Saturday, but once we got up there, we didn't want to leave. Spent the whole weekend relaxing in the hut, and it was absolutely perfect. Didn't turn the TV on once, preferred looking out of the windows. Would love to come back another time, this place is good for the soul.
