Just stayed one night after visiting the NEC.
Just stayed one night after visiting the NEC. Great location right next to the Grand Union Canal. Staff where all friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was very good. The food was excellent, and a great atmosphere in the bar / restaurant areas. The room was a little tied but comfortable and had all that you need for a short stay.

Knowle is a pretty village with most essential facilities nearby. It's close to picturesque local canals and their pubs (Kings Arms recommended). It's within easy reach of the M42 , Solihull shopping centre and Birmingham Airport. Only downside, we found the country lanes very narrow at times, particularly when confronted by a massive tractor that took up the entire width of the road with a driver intent on bullying his way through against the oncoming traffic.MikeAustralia

Our lock actually fell off and we were locked outside of our room for about 2 hours: the staff were fantastic about it and whilst waiting for the engineer to come out, they offered to either put us up in a different hotel or have a tab of food and drink. As we were in a group, we stayed and had the cocktails which were amazing! Breakfast in the morning was also delicious and just what we needed!
