A lovely quiet location ideally situated for walking with many trails to choose from literally just outside the front door. Stunning surroundings and an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle. Relaxing, good standard of food in and around the local area but within easy reach of the main motorways.
The Hood Arms, The Farmers Arms, The Lamb Inn are highly recommended. Walks to the Quantock Hills, Holford Combe and Kilve Beach are lovely walks to consider. Creams teas at the nearby Combe Hotel are also not to be missed.

Holford is a really pretty village and an ideal base to explore the Quantocks. The village has a friendly pub, The Plough Arms which offers good value food and there is a hotel, Combe House where we had afternoon tea in the garden.

The property was very good and the surroundings and furnishings were top quality.
It would be very difficult to get to the hotel without transport as it is about a mile off the main road, down a single track road and very remote. If you like peace and quiet and solitude it would be ideal.

A beautiful area for wild life and walking up the combe onto the hills.
Good places in walking - and hiking distance for eating out and a beer or two.
The Combe House Hotel for lazy lunch on Sunday or a cream tea in the garden . The Plough for well priced and hearty pub food.
Coleridge Cottage in Nether Stowey worth a visit.
Our room had a small conservatory attached which was a big plus - as was the cream tea brought to our room! We went for a wonderful walk from the hotel along the river and the bar staff and service at the delicious breakfast on our first morning was excellent. The hotel is not far from the main road but gave us a feeling of peace and isolation in a deep valley in the hills. A wonderful spot with easy access to some fabulous countryside. Dinner was excellent.
The hotel is located in a fantastic spot for walking with lots of walking trails within minutes of the hotel including a good walk down to Kilve Beach .The hotel team are all welcoming ,friendly and accommodating in every way .The restaurant menu and chef/s cannot be faulted , creamy scrambled eggs or vegan options for breakfast .Homemade soup and fresh mackerel for lunch and equally delishious dinners.
The location is wonderful - part way up Holford Coombe on the edge of the Quantocks. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the Sunday roast dinner very good. Good selection for the breakfast buffet - any hot dishes had to be paid for separately but it meant there was an excellent variety of dishes available and all freshly cooked.
it was a fabulous stay , lovely hotel, staff were wonderful and so helpful especially Lisa . Dinner was very good . nothing was too much trouble . the location was fantastic too . can’t rate it highly enough
Lovely, quirky hotel in an idyllic location, beautiful grounds. Amazing staff - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. We were made very welcome as were our dogs.
Very comfortable hotel in ideal location with friendly, helpful staff and excellent food. Will definitely visit again. Nearby Cleeve Abbey well worth a visit.
